I giggled when you opened with asking if we’d missed you/noticed you hadn’t been around, because I’ve been tapping on your channel at least once a week to check and see if I’d missed a notification. Very glad to see this episode.

Thanks for taking the time to share with us. You packed a lot into your summer. I’ve been an Audible subscriber for sometime and love it because if I need to choose it will always be knitting; but with Audible I get to enjoy both knitting and books. I just finished The Covenant of Water. It was amazing and the author reads it-bonus!! It’s epic and the story I’d so engaging.

Hiii Anna!! You were missed, but I love that you savoured the fleeting days of summer as much as possible. Enjoyed the footage at the end. Oh boy that is so scary about your coffee burn 😣. Love your projects and yarn choices as always. My favourite baby blanket pattern that I have knit was called Envol by Solenn Couix-Loarer. Very nice lace pattern, which was a BIG challenge for me at that time due to inexperience. Your Field Edge Blanket design using the centre out square is gorgeous. Anyways, thanks for the wonderful catch up. Oh and your pattern names: Garti Party and Mid mountain Pullover are perfect 👌🏼

That blanket is beautiful! It reminds me of one I knit for my oldest (which turned into a long rectangle lol). I love a simple garter edging!

Yes you were very missed! Praying for your complete healing, sorry you had to endure that awful trauma! I like the name Mid Mountain cuz I think you need to be able to do the bunny slopes of knitting before attempting that beautiful work of art! Thanks for your inspiration and happy Fall!

I have definitely been thinking about you these last 2 months! I have your Always Vest pattern printed up with several balls of gorgeous yarn placed out in my bedroom-in a beautiful basket- to knit up as soon as I finish current WIP’s. I really enjoyed this episode, especially the baby blanket. I have never made a blanket, yet ☺️. I’m so sorry about your burn and your lost kittens, especially your burn. As mothers we hardly have time to be incapacitated by illness or injury. I’m very excited for you to name your pullover pattern using the Shelter yarn. Until next time, take care! 😊

Hi Anna! We missed you of course 😊 I love the new baby blanket design! I have only ever knit two baby blankets-I have such a passion for garment knitting, but I think your blanket is so pretty and interesting with colourwork, lace, stockinette, bobbles, and garter. I hope to someday have the patience for knitting blankets once I have too many sweaters. If one understands the concept, I think there’s some romance to the name Mid Mountain Sweater/Pullover. Whatever you name it, it’s still the prettiest sweater ever.

Mid Mountain evokes memories of a hot Toddy, fireplace, the smell of a lodge ahhhhhh. Guess my vote 😉 missed you of course! Figured you were busy with back to school, animals, house chores and she-shed. Good to see you! Book “All The Light You Cannot See”. The movie will be out in November, but the book is always better right? It’s been long enough I think Ill read it again. It’s really stuck with me. ❤ the photos. Making memories 😊

Your design and you can name it whatever you love!! I love the garti party because I see it as a way to fade some various speckled/confetti type colors in stash. The baby blanket is beautiful, I hope you write it and publish it. Aside from the purl side colorwork it looks like so much fun to knit!!
@thebluebirdbox Жыл бұрын
It’s knit in the round from the centre out, so no wrong side (or purling) colourwork! I would never have the patience for that 😅😅

No worries about your podcasting schedule. I’m ready when you are, but I think I’ll sign up for your newsletter so as not to miss new releases. Regarding Audible recommendations, these two are my absolute favorites: Have You Seen Luis Velez? By Catherine Ryan Hyde and Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan. A third recommendation is The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson. These books gave me something to think about and educated me at the same time. The readers on Audible are mostly excellent and add so much to the story.

The baby blanket is gorgeous. I do like it as a heirloom piece. I think a baby's fingers may get caught in the open stitches. So it would not b an everyday piece for baby. Everyone needs a break and we subscribe bc of the content. We don't think about the timelines. 😮 the burn is a setback but so glad u r recovering.😊Thanks for sharing.
@thebluebirdbox Жыл бұрын
I actually intentionally include lace in all the baby blankets I've made because they love grabbing the holes so much! None of the babies in my life ever did get a finger really caught, but I guess that might be a concern to consider...

Nice to see another episode from you 🙂but please don't pressure on you. My parents' cat used to move her kittens everywhere. One day she'll bring them in the garden, then couple of days later she'd moved them somewhere else where we couldn't find them, so maybe your cat is doing the same?!
@thebluebirdbox Жыл бұрын
If only! 😫😫 it’s been long enough now that we know they are no longer with us. It was her first litter so hopefully she’ll get smarter if she gets pregnant again.

@@thebluebirdbox oh ☹️sorry to hear, she'll get pregnant again... Plenty of time. From one cat my parents now have five adult females and lots of kittens 🙄😬, we had to neuter all of them.
