Beautiful light show! I have always wanted to see them-maybe someday. My husband has heard me say, “hang on, I gotta grab my emergency knitting” about a thousand times and he still gives me guff about it. But he gets it-in my BK (Before Knitting) days, it was an “emergency book”. I think only another knitter can understand the agony of seven hours in the ER without your knitting 😭

I had an emergency call from a friend. Ran out without my knitting and spent 12 hours in ER. NOT a good time to be without.

It's indeed the neckline, the better the neckline the shoulders will fit right in. Is it an idea to make the sleeves grey and end the body with green? All the best with your throat. Tip for the fly, put a little container with some fruit in it, covered with a plastic sack. Slide a small cut in it so the fly can go in but not go out. I release them outside after that.

Love the pullover garti Anna. Will definitely put that in my queue. Its chill in the UK now so my garti cardi is getting plenty of wear. I've got quite a stash of nutiden so looking forward to seeing what you come up with as I'm interested in another cardi. I've just been to south Africa on holiday and my travel knitting was a shawl and I couldnt resist a skein of yarn from a Dyer based in Cape town. My husband's comment was 'you don't need anymore yarn'. He doesnt get the concept of a stash 😂

AaAgh 7 hours without your knitting! I bet you were right twitchy! I had to go and babysit my sons house on the fly, and I did a detour to go home and get my knitting. Ended up that I didn’t even need to knit because there were things to do in the house. But I was prepared. Well sort of. Like you I thought I should not leave the house without my knitting ever again.

Oooh you have your hands full with those flies, the down side to Autumn 😑 Just finished watching, in and out all weekend and no peace yesterday! I know ripping back is just part of the design process but to be ripping back the unspun and mohair must get exasperating 😖 Glad your boy's wrist is healing well and hope the ER visits are on the wane. I only have the one, my boy who's 18 now, but we had our "frequent flyer" time about 5 years ago. Broke 2 bones in his foot at the end of the February mid term "break"...crutches for 8 weeks, then had to have very inflamed appendix removed 7+ months later at the end of the Halloween mid term! 🙄 2 different ERs for the foot as we were up on North Coast when it happened and a different one again for the appendix as our local hospital doesn't have a paediatric unit. The doctors don't tell you about all this at ante-natal appointments! 😂 I would LOVE to see the aurora borealis "in person"...so magical ❤

Hi i just need to say enjoy your kids whiles they are still small. My oldest son is actually closer to you in Canada than to us in South Africa. He is working on a cruiseship and enjoys the work but I miss him.

Wow, those lights are so beautiful. My husband is in far northern bc near Alberta border and has been sending me beautiful pics too. I was wondering if you knew about the Libby app. You can borrow audiobooks for free through a library card. I’m giving it a try before committing to other memberships. And yes, I can imagine how painful that was being in er for 7 + hours with NO KNITTING. AAAAhhhhhh 😱

I have tried the Libby app! But I still had to “borrow” the audio copies which meant I had to be on a wait list for books I wanted to read - and I just never kept on top of it. But I definitely underuse my library, they are amazing resources!
