My favorite movie of all time. Jake and Elwood put blues music in to our every day live. I have all of their CD and listen to them always. God bless the one's called home to God and their family. Blue's Brother's for ever.

I suppose that was a "keyboard mis-type" error. It's "Elwood"!! There is a small town south of Joliet, IL. , named Elwood. Not sure if that's from where his name originated, but it's a short (10-minute drive?) on Rt. 53 out of town. If you choose to drive there (take I-80 to Rt. 53, they'll be signs), you'll pass the Chicagoland Speedway (NASCAR) and Rt. 66 dragstrip (NHRA) on your your way south. If you go too far, checkout the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery (Military) and then the Gemini Giant diner in Wilmington. I'm not sure if the Polka-Dot diner in Braidwood is still open... Enjoy Illinois anyway...

The Blues Brothers is a musical comedy film, which was released in 1980. Actually this film is dedicated to: John Belushi, but also to Cab Calloway and John Candy. May God bless them.

Today, everybody says "what a cast" ! But in 1978/1979 before the movie, when Belushi and Aykroyd created the Blues Brothers for the first time in the SNL, all these artists was forgotten in their own country !! But a simple sketch became one of the greatest musical movie of all time with an incredible band melting all us influences : Two MG's and a Bar-Kay from the Stax for the rythm section, referencial chicago electric guitarist bluesman in solo guitar, great New York's Horn sound. After that, all the artist's forgotten at those times started a new part of their careers because of the movie. Thank you the Canadian Dan Aykroyd to "make American's original rythm and blues great again" ! For the anecdote, his sun glasses in the movie are his own glasses (apparently always the same style in 2023) with tinted lenses.

People will ask me if I’ve seen such and such movie and when they start to describe it to me, I tell them to stop and ask if the Blues Brothers are in it. When they say no, I tell them I’m not interested in knowing about their movie.
