They definitely get old quick, especially since you get them every time you let off the pedal with any load on the engine. I have them turned down to 0 with a length of 1 second just to give that perfect burble sound.

I've seen some sketchy shit on KZbin but using vice grips as spring compressors is about the sketchiest! Remember what dads always say (in honor of Father's Day) "You could put your eye out!"

I think the top hat is supposed to be mounted before you put the strut in too. I winced a bit there. Take care, vTuned!

@@miketdavies Also way easier to proper seat the spring in the caps.most probably the top end is not perfectly sitting in the rubber boot. A proper tool is only like 100 bucks and makes life also way easier.

@@mike4187 yep, bolt socket with allen key insert for the strut top. Forget the BMW size but FCP Euro sells a whole socket kit. Plus some proper ($20) spring compressors! I'm not sure how he got it all attached correctly, TBH. Assuming maybe was done out of frame? Assume best intentions :)

Only my 2 cents: I had the same lowering springs on my F30 as well and the ride comfort sucks plus the shocks get used up and damaged fairly quickly. I'd recommend getting coilovers instead. Second, if you're going stage 2, usually they recommend to go with an intercooler as well. I love the build so far, reminds me of all the things I did on my F30 when I got it. Keep it up

B58 doesn’t come with intercooler like the Bmw 335i n55 f30 / n54 . There’s a heat exchanger instead.

That empty catalyser was called in the 90's the African tube (tube Afrique). As the EU moders where using the OEM parts but for the models made for the african market.

Bro, you forgot to transfer the old seal ring from the downpipe to the new catless. Your probably smelling the raw fumes coming through the cabin vents as it seeps though. I learned the difficult way and had to remove it all off and do it over. I highly recommend to just purchase a new seal from BMW. It's inexpensive to replace the seal ring unless you like the smell and it doesn't bother you inside the cabin. 😝

Very nice. The 4 wheel drive arent as common in the UK as they are in US. Interesting alternative to an S4 though if you still want that 4WD but not a fan of AUDI for whatever reason.

Please do the transmission stage 3 tune for it as well to match the torque ‘specifications’ and to change how much it is thinking it is shifting and rotating and all that. Plz do some research to know more bout it

Now tell me, does your state have any kind of exhaust inspection? Removing that cat thereby increases carbon monoxide and un-reacted octane in the exhaust. I get that the MHD re-mapping provides some other instruction to the ECU to ignore the 2nd O2 sensor being out of spec, but won't state inspections be a fiasco? Or, do you plan on just doing a swap on the cat before inspection time, and then putting it right back to free flow? Not trying to throw shade, just trying to keep up with the community. I've been out of the car game for a while and looking to return.
