Hey Albe. I was reading Woodies wheels in Denver will do the rear wheel tubeless and it's fine but they won't do the front wheel because the rim bead is not right for tubeless and the tire could come off especially at lower PSI. So I guess its fine for street driving but maybe not so great idea for offroad. Just in case you haven't heard that or maybe you have heard it's okay?
@AlbesADV7 жыл бұрын
+Ed DeBolt as always you have some good informations, that is true, I'm only making my street tires set tubeless, my second set with knobby tires for off road is going to keep the tubes.
@supersportimpalass5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the wheel. Fine if it has safety beads but not if the wheel doesn't which some older wheels designed for tubes don't have. Personally I wouldn't use it front or rear without safety beads. I have the kit installed on both wheels on my street bike with Excel wheels for a few years now 3.5" front and 5.5" rear. Never had any leaks or any problems. Great kits imo.

Hi Albe! Good videos from you as usual. Any updates after one and a half years of using tubeless? On what highest speeds have you tested them? :) front tires, being bias ply, tend to expand more than radial (rear) on higher speeds. Can this be a chance for loosing air in front tire? Thanks!
@AlbesADV5 жыл бұрын
So far no air leaks, they are holding out great. The OutEx system makes the rim air tight, so it doesn't really matter what tire you have on as long as it's a tubeless rated tire. Speed wise, I've been as fast as 100mph, on a closed circuit obviously, and I had no problems.

What's the trouble exactly? If it just doesn't pop into place properly, try using more lube, deflate, re-set and re-inflate.

if you still have the bike is the kit still working fine ? do you notice any issues ? i read somewhere that u should not convert front as its not safe..is that true ? thanks
@AlbesADV5 жыл бұрын
Yes I do, it’s still doing great, no leaks and no problems. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be safe, even in case of a failure the tire would not explode, it would just deflate slowly as if you have a puncture. I personally am super happy I installed the kit.
@supersportimpalass5 жыл бұрын
It's fine to use on a front rim if it has a safety bead (the ridge that holds the bead of the tire against the outside of the rim). Most older wheels designed for use with tubes don't have safety beads and should not be converted. The main reason is the tire can come loose and fold into the inside of the rim without the safety bead. While it's still dangerous when a front tire loses air it is much more dangerous if the wheel doesn't have safety beads.

@AlbesADV7 жыл бұрын
+RcbNL off-road is not a problem, it all depends on the tire pressure, if you keep the oem tire pressure even off-road you will be fine, if the pressure is too low the tire might pop off the bead and deflate. I only use it on my street set of wheels and it works great. I still recommend it 100%.

the advantage is that if you get a flat, you can plug it quickly. The wheels are slightly lighter as well and a few less ounces down there can be felt. I do agree with you, the operation is not easy and not very reliable.
