I imagine that part of the reason why S2 is taking so long is because Bocchi’s showrunner is also showrunning Frieren. If both of these shows keep going for a while, I imagine he’ll be back & forth busy with the both of them pretty consistently. Even if it means they come out slower, I hope he doesn’t leave either because they’re both incredible. For real, good on Keiichiro Saito for having 2 showrunning gigs in a row be massive mega hits.

As a pseudo-extroverted person, with a great facility for making friends and talking to others, Bocchi the rock really made me empathize with people who do have problems socializing. Guitar loneliness and blue planet symbolizes very well everything that someone with social anxiety, frustration at not being able to socialize, and many other things can feel. But it doesn't end there, Bocchi is really a character that you get attached to quickly, everything in the kessoku band has something special that makes you appreciate them, Nijika's story broke my heart in chapter 8, Kita is a very fun character to watch on screen and more because he contrasts with the majority of the cast. Bocchi has something special that I couldn't say, but that catches you

I didn't personally think BTR was god-tier like a lot of other people; but I totally get why a lot of people resonated with the aspects of it. Whether that be a personal reflection of social awkwardness or anxiety in Bocchi, the love of of music, or - and I think most importantly that you've touched on - the motivation to try something new. There was a similar phenomena in 2018 with A Place Further Than the Universe that motivated people to take risks, try new things, see new places and make new friends and that's the mark of a great piece of art. I'm glad BTR resonated with you on such a deep and personal level that it spurred you on to learn a new skill. As someone who used to play guitar - have patience. Getting "good" doesn't happen overnight. It takes months. It can be frustrating when you think you're not progressing fast enough, or at all; but stick with it and remember the 3 P's - practice, patience, and persistence. Having fun and creating music is all that matters.

Bocchi the Rock inspired me to play the guitar and now it's been around a year since I started cause of Bocchi the Rock, I can say I'm one of the guitarists people would say I'm good at it and one of the guitarists pros would say decent, I used to hate guitar because it was widespread and commonly used because of our culture in our country (Philippines) but ever since I watched Bocchi the rock I've been so dedicated to learn the guitar and play their songs (I'm 14 btw I got an electric guitar on my 13th birthday last year) (:P LMAO my school hosted a praise and worship concert i got to play in it in a band, formed from our small suggestion to play and turned into the whole concert) Proud to say I got a friend asking me to teach them and I'm still very dedicated to being a good musician as my life pretty much revolved around music and muscles, I discovered many songs and taken a liking to Rock, Blues, and Metal. Funny how my journey to become a great musician is highly inspired by Bocchi the rock and I'm glad to discover music this way as it has set me a path and now I'm now dedicating my life to becoming a guitarist and to join and play in a band cus Bocchi is so me fr fr

I've been watching anime since 2013 and not in the watched an episode or two on tv at the weekend way but in the watching half episodes of trashy harems on youtube with only a quarter of the screen actually showing the anime type of way. So by 2022 and basically growing up on anime I already knew what I liked and was kind of falling out of it as I didn't find much joy in any shows anymore and just rewatched things I already liked. Bocchi came out and my friends watched it, I saw the memes going around and thought it was some second K-On (A show I thought was just alright) so it took me a few months to get around to it but when I finally did I decided to watch it all in one night like old times. I still vividly remember jumping out of my seat all giddy with a stupid grin on my face during Bocchi's solo in ep8 and it seriously brought my love for anime back. I fucking love every episode of this show and even though I mostly just stick to manga or light novels nowadays, I know that this genre still has a lot left in it. Thank you Bocchi!

@PeterOHanrahaHanrahan just watched both recap movies in the theater last night. From reading up on it, there is no new material added in, except the new intro scenes to each movie. That being said, as someone who had yet to watch the series, the pacing and plot were on point. As compilation films go in anime, I would say Bocchi was definitely one of the better attempts at condensing the series down to a couple of theatrical features.

And it was something that got her thinking of having some kind of musical career......I had never watched anime as such...But gave K-On! a look...I loved it!...I watched other anime and was rather taken by the characters, fun and music of slice of life shows...So I went to Japan (from UK) to see my fav band LIVE and while there visited a number of real life locations used in some of the anime I had watched...I brought manga of those anime in the locations they are set! Say G-b-D Jazz is adding something between those G-B-c?E/D? . It's not perfect but it'll get u to learn more later . 2nd piece advice . Start off on one string. And just have fun with it practicing advice number 1 . You'll have to learn more like string names and strumming patterns But that's on you. Good luck . Oh and a scale so you know what proper learning can do.

I come from the 'other side' of the hobby angle as BTR made me remember how much fun I had playing drumset since I hadn't touched it in a fee years. In that tike I was more focused on other percussive insturments. The show means a lot to many people in different ways, and while "She's just like me fr" continues on, it would be more accurate to say that because the cast are all exaggerated traits of different types of people, there's something of yourself to see in all of them (probably). What spoke to me was that it came out in a down period for me when I was no longer making music in an ensemble, and made me think back on how those moments were special to me. Then I got off my chair and went back to it.

I'm really glad I went to see it as it turned out to be an amazing story. I especially liked the portrayal of Bocchi's issues with her social anxiety disorder. Now I just need to watch the entire series proper to fill in all the things I missed.

This video was great ^-^ Made me laugh a lot! Most BTR videos that get published recently aren't exactly the best 😅, so this was a nice change of pace :)

I literally with to japan just so i can see a show at Starry "Shelter". I end When in the shop shown in the show. Bocchi the Rock is a great show and genuinely think it will be talked about like K-on for how impactful it is for years to come.

This show really is something special. I’ve been a classical musician for my whole life and my dumb brain was convinced that rock music, and especially j-rock music didn’t really count as music. Here I am a few years later as a bass player and rhythm guitarist. (Something I never thought I wanted to do.) I’m in a band in college and spend way too much time listening to j-rock music. It turns out that guitar feels really easy transitioning from fretless microtonal instruments like cello.

This anime is just...so special to me. It really took me by surprise, and I have fallen in love with it instantly. It helped me get a new point of view on my social anxiety, and made me want to reconnect with my creativity, which, because of my vivid imagination, is one of my greatest strengths. May it be music or simply writing, drawing or anything else, I would just do something from time to time. And this video reminded me that I should get back to it again, thanks. Although my favorite anime is Code:Geass. The three that I am the most attached to and really helped me with their lessons are Clannad, Gurren Lagann, and yes, Bocchi the Rock. I can say, and I don't care if it sounds cringe, they helped me change my life.

This anime magically makes half the people who watch it get into guitar. Even me

ngl Bocchi the Rock! is the reason i got into the technical side of music i enjoy. Sure not directly but the course the show set me on did have that as an outcome, and now I'm on course to buy my own guitar next month, without having a clue too much about them but I know that I want to learn guitar. I'd say this is one fo the few shows that genuinely changed my life..

As a Bocchi and CSM fan, I’m totally fine with Bocchi beating it in ratings. I do think that CSM season 1 was amazing but it was covering the weakest part of the manga. Bocchi is so damn good that I cosplayed her at Anime Expo this last year and the official merch booth was almost sold out the second day of the con.

This show inspired me to pick up my old guitar that has been sitting in the corner with a broken e-string for 3 years. Ordered new strings after the last episode and just now began practicing again. It's not an electric one, but im thinking of getting a cheap one. At least that old lady (inherited it from my grandpa's sister) is in working condition. Just a crack that needs a bit of glue soon left and it's as good as new. I'm thinking of getting a Bocchi sticker for it as a "thank you for inspiring me".

Bocchi = based. The show really reminded me, that having fun is the most important part of it doing any kind of music. Music uni doesn't promote that enough smh. We really need more teachers/professors, who promote that.
