No. The script was around in the 70’s. It was offered to Diana Ross w/either Steve McQueen or then-boyfriend Ryan O’Neal. For whatever reason it never happened. Years later it got Kevin’s attention and he wanted to do it, but only if Whitney was his co-star. She took a year to make up her mind. She had to promote I’m Your Baby Tonight & tour for it, she was also afraid of failure. Both Bobby & Kevin convinced her to do it, Kevin promised her he would not let her fail. Bobby was at the funeral but he was pissed his large entourage wasn’t given VIP seating so he left in a huff, because he’s a bitch.
