Fantastic.. Love it.. Never heard. This one passed me by at the time. Amateur and raw but sounds brilliant

The rude boys dancing on the stage remind me of teenagers today who've "discovered" punk for the first time. Youthful innocence!

Hope someone compiles all their stuff for a release - only 2 singles but some great stuff on Peel Sessions.

Rhoda Dakar did a "...Sings The Bodysnatchers" album quite recently. That comes close. A lot of songs on there that were never originally released back in the day.

I made my own Bodysnatchers album from the tracks avaible. The 2 singles, B sides, Peel Sessions, Live at Folkestone. Sounds absolutely stunning on my stereo.

Sounds like Gappa introducing them.

The problem with music genres is that you get the good bands then followed by a load of shit - guess which category these fall into.

The singles that The Bodysnatchers put out were brilliant but this isn't very good.

I don't agree. This song is very much in line with the kind of youthful high energy that characterised the movement and if I heard something like this at a SKA gig today I would be delighted. Not everything has to be Ghost Town you know. This song is tight with great singing, sax and keyboards. But each to their own.

@@peps7721 You're entitled to your opinion and there's more to The Specials than Ghost Town which was a political statement not song to dance to.

I do like Rhoda's work in Special AKA but Bodysnatchers were not good at all. "Alcohol" and "War Crimes" both solid songs.
