Agree, re. the draft. Everyone was saying that this was a very deep draft, so why the worry about getting rid of our 1st round pick? We still got good players with later picks and enhanced our position for next year as well. On this basis, I think apart from Richmond, we did just about as well as anyone, and will be able to do a final top up next year to get what we need before Tassie comes in the year after.

Great insights, agree a lot with you guys stated. Definitely think Barrett & Mick Ablett from Foxtel were talking rubbish in regards to us trading pick 9. In terms of midfield I personally would play Hobbs & Tsatas over Shiel and Parish. We must play youth. I think Duursma will be on one wing with El Hawli on the other. Jones at CHF with us playing 2 ruckman with Draper likely to be full forward. I see Caddy, Perkins & Martin all playing a hybrid type of role. Thinking of Stevie J or Paul Chapman types.

I truly hate when a club hangs a "SAVIOUR " tag on a recruit especially a draftee who is still a kid and is totally unknown. Yes he's a prospect but didn't we learn watching Jack watts and the like!! 1 player no matter who (even Gary ablett, I.e:gold Coast) they are can't carry an entire club, the way that draftees get pressure and supporters hopes hanging on them is just wrong, almost ridiculous

Parish needs to go forward IMO and make way for more of a grunt mid. He is a great kick at the sticks and I believe spent some time in that role as a junior. But more importantly we need to improve dramatically on our contested work, especially in the air, forward and back. 2MP at his best and a healthy backline will see us progress next year.

Don't mind the Melbourne pick swap. Must have been them coming to us with the offer, whilst good for us, they needed it more. Kako is a pick 15 player. If he was bid on before our pick 9, it would have meant a top 8 player wasn't selected, we would have let him go and our pick 9 would have have been pick 8, in a superdraft. Which would be pretty good. Rosa got screwed in the stringer trade. Our last draft pick is the only one we got that looks like a footballer, kako aside. Going to be a tough few years coming up, sitting low on the ladder building, and Geelong will probably win a flag or two before we get back to where we were last year

@absolutelyessendon I just think he does offer a fair bit to gws. Did have his first full season. It's not so much his long range goal kicking, but he puts fear in the defenders minds when the ball goes near him, even if they are in the best position, they don't want him hot on their heals. Who ever got hogan right, will get him better at not giving away frees tackling, and not missing set shots 15 out straight in front. Big upside for gws at no cost. Couldn't have been too hard to market stringer to them a bit better. Rosa needs to work on his sales. Essendon supporters weren't helping, clearing leading the charge of gifting him away, gave gws all the fuel they needed to get a freebie

Having been in business all my life, I understand perfectly the cost involved in producing these shows. Studio costs, time taken to film, then edit and post, time taken for planning and then travel costs etc etc etc. Not only for the Bomber faithful but as the numbers build up to hopefully get a bit of an earner. I pay $200 per year for Kayo and don't get as much enjoyment as I do off a few KZbin channels. Including AE and EE. So if you had 50 punters like me contributing $30 a year before you hit the "big time" (🤞) it would go some way to assisting with outlays. Very happy with the draft aside from missing out on Anderson. Put Draper at CHF & second ruck. Bryan should be given the chance to be #1 ruck if Adelaide are truly going after Draper. Goldstein as backup in the VFL. Never been impressed with Wright. Put Caddy at FF. Kako & Guelfi as half forward flanks. Martin on the wing.

Love the show. But I’d highly lower your expectations on Kako being a ‘ defensive’ forward. He’s a one way player at this stage, horrible defensive rating. Looks to have all the ability to turn himself into one, but he’s not known for it at all

If peter wright kicks a 100 this year we wont fall too many places. The forward line is full of incompetent scardy cats, absolutely no presence. Backlines will have a feild day. Perkins just HAS to make it. Simply put, if he doesn't, that whole 2020 draft is looking like a bust. Perkins doesn't have the tank or ability to find the ball enough to be a midfielder. He's a Stringer type. He needs license to use the x-factor he came in with, until Essendon in typical fashion, stripped the flare away.
