Thanks for reacting to this Nick, the most under rated bands of the Britpop era. I hope that you will find some time to have a listen to their 1993 album Giant Steps, it really is a masterpiece and one of my favourite albums of the decade.

The Boo Radleys started off as a shoegaze/noise pop band that gradually developed a more commercial sound that peaked with Wake Up. Worth listening to the album Giant Steps which covers both sides of their sound.

An absolutely bangin' song from back in the day. Great choice!

Nick, The Boo Radleys are a great unsung UK indie band - this was a massive 'deliberately made' (by them) hit but they have some incredibly good avant-garde albums - mixing 60s, rock, psychedelia, dub - and a fat dose of horns! Well worth diving into. Their earlier indie hit Lazarus (off the Giant Steps album) is fckn great! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZTQqJRqh7OCibM

It's a great song (or was back when I first heard it in 1995) but repetition over the decades has dulled its charms for me somewhat. Oh, to go back to that time and hear it again for the first time.

Never liked this one. Too pretty, light and fluffy for my liking!
