Yeah but let me push back people in Star Wars alllllways have tech in their clothes all the time. They showed you his lifeless body and they held the shot. He’s dead. They do this for some reason on these shows they introduce a villain for the climax but they still come out on top.

Disney & Kathleen Kennedy control the narrative. I’m convinced they were going to minimize Boba to a clueless old man all along. They made Fennec a badass from the start. This is not by accident. I’m all for strong new female characters just don’t minimize the legendary ones. I hope Disney don’t give Obi-wan the Luke and Boba treatment.

I felt that having Cad Bane die in this episode was the only way to do it. To me, as a huge Cad Bane fan, he's a character that represents Boba's past and the fate of Bane's character was always for him to lay dead underneath Boba's shadow. A showdown between the two best bounty hunters needed to happen and Boba needed to kill Cad. It's a passing of the baton if you will

I actually enjoyed the show. The point of which was to show the journey of a traumatised boy that became a bounty hunter because that’s what his Dad was. He was traumatised being the son of a ruthless killer who was hardly ever around and then traumatised by seeing his father murdered quite brutally to say the least. He then experienced what being in a family/tribe really was and discovered true belonging. It changed him completely. The Tusken experiences cover aspects of his own life for which he is able to see how different they are in this tribe compared to his - as a child, a warrior and a leader. This sets the pattern that he wants to follow. We watch him struggle with this change as he lives with the regret of his actions that led to his new tribe being massacred. He often doesn’t know how to behave in this new environment/role. He ends up relying on others with whom he is forming relationships with for help. This could make him look weak. I appreciate lots of people don’t like to see Boba weak. But like all of us he needs others around him to make sense of this new world and who is is in it. He wanted to lead with the respect that he learnt from the Tuskens and he achieves this. However, it is still such an alien experience to him because he questions whether it is right for someone like him to be in that position, I think because of who and how he was in his past. He started with the idea of being a Crime Lord and became a Marshal/Sheriff of a town who is respected and valued by his new people. I think he is surprised by this. I get that some people wanted him to be a B@Das5 bowntea hNtR. The writers chose to do something a little more nuanced and arguably more interesting. And I’m ok with that.

20:25 - That's absolutely true, saying it's not because that same character appears in the next episode is silly because it also expands heavily on unrelated aspects like the Mandalorian culture/lore which has nothing to do with the tv show. Not to mention everyone knows who Din Jarin is and doesn't need an episode explaining it. Honestly is seems to me by episode 4 the writers got bored of their own show and decided to try spice it up by adding a load of cameos that take away from the magic of Boba Fett himself as a character (Luke, Ashoka)

The reason for straight up shooting Bib hasn't been addressed but I believe that the reason for taking the mantle as leader of Jabba's syndicate was to no longer work for others and die or kill at their whim. he basically said so in his convo with Fennec but it should have been expanded on. Overall a fun show but the strategies and combat choices were non sensible.

listen, I like boba killing him and the underlying themes they had here(boba losing the gunfight but wining as a warrior, cad getting killed by a clone after killing hundreds of them, boba wining by using his family weapon and cad loses with the philosophy of looking out for yourself, etc.), but I want a clean win. not bane smoking boba & losing cause he taunts. I want boba to live up to actually being the best. bane has been WAY more impressive across canon as a bounty hunter. Massive waste of Cad Bane considering how fantastic his portrayal was done for this show. Should have been in every episode. If you do that and maybe do a flashback episode recreating that clone wars arc of him mentoring teen Boba, then all this is more effective. His death is so unsatisfying. Series was a dud for me outside of Ep 5&6. . I want to know what the point of the flashing light and beeping with that lingering shot of Bane was about. especially given the audio description also calls to it specifically. I personally think it was them leaving the door open to have him live if they want to use him again after this point in the timeline.

I always entertained the idea of Cad going out in the hands of Crimson Dwan and Maul and if not by some other force user. I feel like a character as Bane who managed to survive multiple run ins with the Jedi would not have been bested by Boba so...easily honestly. It didn't do his character justice. Love Boba and i understand and appreciate the poetic undertones to that scene but Bane deserved better. That being said, maybe he isnt dead. Not in the slightest and that's why I dont set myself up for disappointment. The scene would be Luke going into Obi Wans hut from a New Hope. We see Luke sit down in the same place where Obi wan talked to him year before. He starts to meditate and then was see a blue aura appear in the foreground. We then hear “Hello there, Luke”. Luke opens his eyes and smiles and says Ben, fade to black. Fennec: "Boba, the palace is alot more secure than this burned out strip club. Why are you listening to Discount Felicity Jones?" Boba Fett: "#IWishIKnew" As a show about Boba Fett this show was mediocre at best. As a Star Wars show it was OK. The problem is it was all over the place and failed to build a cohesive narrative from the beginning. The Pykes weren’t properly established as a threat Is Cad Bane really dead? Some people said they heard a beeping sound, indicating he might still be alive. Hope so, as someone who wasn't familiar with him I really liked him. I felt the same way as Kristian and was hoping he would beat Boba. The last episode cements Robert Rodriguez should never direct another Star Wars property again. The storytelling was bad. Grogu and The Mandalorian seeing each other again should've had more emotional weight. Grogu shouldn't have.been in this episode. Should've left their reunion to the end credits or Mandalorian S3. The tone, dialogue and cinematography was goofy. After 2 previous episodes that got the tone of Star Wars right, we go back to his colorful, cartoony look. Overall disappointing finale and show overall

People are confusing things, Fenec it's the muscle, Boba it's the boss. The boss does not do this kind of job. This it's why I think he's phrase at end and with Cobb, he's probably will fed up really fast with this role and leave things to Cobb or something along the line with "I'm not cut out to only sitting and boss people around, I need action also". Anyway. The best scene was Boba and Din fighting along.I need more mandalorians and more mando fighting together in my life. Hopefully in season 3. Grogu going back to the Mandalorian doesn't bother me, because Grogu is 50(ish), which means he was about 25 when Order 66 (Revenge Of The Sith) happened, and Jedi recruit their younglings before they can form attachments, usually around age 3 or 4. This means Grogu had 20+ years of Jedi training, which Luke just unlocked again in the previous episode. So Grogu had more Jedi training than Luke and how is Luke supposed to train someone with more experience than him anyway? Luke even remarked: "It's more like he's remembering than I'm actually teaching him anything.". You might say Grogu is not that powerful, but this is most likely due to him still being in the childhood years of his species, the mind wanders and is easily tired when you're a kid. Size might not matter for force-users, but using the force does take a physical toll, as we've seen before, and a kid just can't muster that much exertion. But that doesn't mean he isn't a better trained Jedi than Luke, even if Luke is more powerful because his adult form can handle the exertion better.

Kristian 23:36 I had thought that they focused on Cad Banes life support system purposefully for his final scene to indicate he may be alive. So I agree with you on the beacon. I did find scenes incomplete as Steph said that just didn't end or start fully. I agree either it should have been 8 or 9 episodes to flesh out the character Arcs more. Grogu using "Force Beast" (one of the force powers in KOTOR) to calm the Rancor really had me. Loved anything Grogu and I felt it was set up last episode when Luke said it's more Grogu remembering how to use the force than Luke training him which made sense to me with everything Grogu did this episode. Ezra had "Force Beast" as well which was Ezras story Arc in Rebels. That's how he used the space Whale's to defeat Thrawn. So that gave me a personal theory. Do you think some how Grogu is the one that ultimately finds where Ezra disappeared and ties in to the Ahsoka series? Just a thought.

I also hate the fact they haven't shown Bobba as a ruthless gangster. But as JC(if I'm butchering last name here, I'm sorry) Ratzenberger in Fatman Beyound said, It's most likely because of the one of the one of the episode in Mandalorian season 3 in which Din will loose dartk saber, Bobba wins it eventually in a fight and become ruler of a Mandalor. Therefore Disney don't want people to root for a killer.

Absolutely agree with Cad Bane comment. I also think it didn't work because it was not properly set up. And I've seen clone wars but you needed this to be powerful on its own. Imagine having set up properly the relationship between Cad Bane and Boba as a kind of mentor mentee Situation in the first episodes as flashbacks. And then having this showdown, the interaction is way more powerful that way, it could have meant a deep representation of Boba being done with the ways of the bounty hunter and evolve pass that into something else. Focus on the Pykes, focus on Cad Bane from the beginning, then do the payoff at the end, c'mon!

Fennec has the ideas. At every point Boba would choose something and she would be like nah that's not the play buddy. That happened in the early episodes and even in the finale. She is the one that killed the supposed head of the Pykes...the supposed big threat which was setup all series. Boba fighting Cad and riding the Rancor were cool fan moments. But Cad was setup as a gun for hire working for the real "big bad". Fennec killed the big bad.

I wonder if Luke helping Grogu remember the past influenced his decision, they focused on the lightsaber when one of the jedi died, then at the end Luke shows him Yoda's one. Maybe that's the first time he seen one since, expect for the darksaber.

Just as it was very deliberate that Cobb Vanth was shot in the shoulder, I believe it was just as deliberate Cad Bane had a beeping device on his armor as the camera panned away from his body... I'd be shocked to find out he's truly dead. The character is too dynamic and has too much agency to be gone this soon.

Cad Bane should have attacked the Tuskens camp with Pikes, captured the kid and the ninja female. Shown them as hostages to Bobba to play with his head. There should have been Tuskens and Jawas fighting against the Pikes. Bosh should have saved the Wookie. If we had 4 episodes of Sand people why didn’t they feature in the final episode coming to defend one of their own 🧐 IG88 should have come back. If they can fix Fennick then they could fix IG88. He could have responded to a Mandolin distress beacon.

Disney should make a villain's Star Wars show. There's always a hero (or 'anti' hero) show but NEVER a show about the villain and all the behind the scenes of their existence. They can still battle Rebels and Resistance and Loyalists, but, from the opposite side of the lense. 🤔

My wife had no background on Cad Bane and she loved his appearance in the one and a half episode. She loved that it established him as a super badass so that we could see that Boba is still one of the most badass mf's in the universe! Also, Boba has new tricks up his sleeve from his time with the Tuskens, as a person but also as a fighter.

I can sum up my thoughts on the season: Loved the first 4 episodes, perplexed at the last 3 episodes. I loved the world building of the first 4 episodes regarding Tatooine. It had a history feel to it much like a European, Asia or Africa country split into 3 factions/religions and how they battle for power.. The present day/flashback storytelling style on Boba Fett was interesting and building to something. And then the show took a hard left turn and we got the Grogu show instead? The ending was so predictable once Grogu was brought to Tatooine and such a disappointment that the franchise continues to play to the nostalgia of fans instead of just telling a new story. This is why this franchise has been stuck in neutral since 1999. Everytime it takes a step forward, it takes 2 steps back and goes to the well of nostalgia.

I had some time to think about the show and the finale some more and I have a new analogy. This show is like the new disney trilogy: the first half was like the Force awakens it set up fun stuff, the second half is like Rian Johnson coming for the second movie all like no I dont care about any of it, I want to do something else and goes somewhere else and the the finale is like the Rise of Skywalker trying with no success to peace together what came before and having not enough time to give us the emotional payoff for anything.

Steph is far from alone. Grogu force jumping into Mando's arms, showing off his shiny new shirt and a proud daddy Mando beaming that Grogu got the shirt ... Why is it so misty in here?! 😭😭😭👍👏👏👏 Mike's right. Several times Boba had a chance to explain why Tattooine and failed. Was Jango originally from Tattooine? If so, woulda been nice to know instead of guessing. Kristian nailed it. Fennec was the MVP. Time and again she saved Boba from himself, from sticking his head in a Sarlacc pit--after she showed him mapping droids that could have done it for him to him impulsively wanting to start the final battle on Cad Bane's terms. OTOH, I loved him riding Chekhov's rancor and him losing the shootout to Cad but defeating Cad with the Tusken stick. Also the flashbacks to him escaping the Sarlacc pit and earning respect with the Tusken tribe on his own. Those scenes / episodes were legit cool. Btw, if Boba said his time with the Tuskens showed him a new way of life within a tribe, something he never had before (kinda like Jean Luck Picard showing a family life in STAR TREK TNG'S "Inner Life"), that I'd buy for why he stayed.👍But nooooo. No explanations for us.😭
