And when I vest my flashing sword, and my hand takes hold in judgement. I will take vengeance upon mine enemies, and I will repay those who hase me. Oh Lord, raise me to Thy right hand and count me among Thy saints.

The background music was composed by Joseph Crnko and its cut from some long symphony made by: Seattle Symphony Orchestra - Northwest Boychoir The problem with getting entire thing is that there is no CDs avaible on internet shops. And noone have any idea where to buy it in seattle.

The song is NOT any of those mentioned. I found it on iTunes. By Jeff Danna "Saints From The Streets." It's the exact song just without Il Duce's Prayer included. Hope this helps.

This scene takes place before the killings, you can tell because the priests words were echoed in in the background when they were sleeping in the jail cell later on. The reason people knew them and respected them is probably because they've done this before and everyone, save the visiting priest, was used to it.

@TeoFileUs I think it might be more rhythmical because, at times, Catholic churches say the prayer through song. The Roman Catholic Churches I attended always used this version.

i'm not sure this is after the story that takes place in the movie is it? I thought it was laying the groundwork for their vigilante actions ("good men stand by and do nothing"). I just thought the priest that went to sit up, as you said, was new and didn't know the guys, but the regular priest knew they were good people and meant no harm or disrespect...

Protestant "Our Father" and said out of sequence in the liturgy of the mass. :)
@EmilyFalcon15 жыл бұрын
Aw man, I just looked up the script and nobody has the right updated script up... one person has a script they tried to type themselves from the movie, but it's not an official version. The rest are the original scripts, which changed when the movie was being filmed, so there's no official script for the movie. Still, you need to listen to it with friends with the volume turned up on a good set of speakers, because it really isn't saying what you think it's saying.

I know the main prayer "And shepards we shall be......" was made up by Troy Duffy with the help of his dad. I don't know about this one though
@EmilyFalcon15 жыл бұрын
um... i think YOU need to listen to it again, and make sure you use some decent speakers and have the volume turned up. NOWHERE does it sound like "Honor your quest"
@EmilyFalcon15 жыл бұрын
also, most people think he's saying "When I vest" because of the thick Irish accent.

just throwing this out there, do you guys know that the Kitty Genovese story is real? that what is described actually happened to a woman with that name? cause if you did then you wouldnt have had that thought they she may be connected to the brothers.
@EmilyFalcon15 жыл бұрын
I'm telling you, I've played this for all my friends and nobody hears "Honor your quest." Your hearing must be really really bad, or, like I said before, you're just catching the end of the priest's dialogue and mushing it together with the actual narration. Just look up the Boondock Saints Transcript and you'll find out what it really says.

idk bout that i think since this is after the ending the preist say them and then the guest speaker new who they were and was going to say something thats why he is so baffled and the little girl stares at them because the church supports what they are doing but the guest speaker didnt thats why he was going to stand up and stop them and maybe call the police or something idk thats just my theory

This is my favorite movie, I just don't understand why they didn't wait until after the mass to walk out. Were they late to kill some russian mafia crime bosses or did they just need a smoke ????

@peterthemophead16 жыл бұрын
wow i just read over what i wrote it wasn't very clear my theory is that since this is after the ending they have already gone public with the whole saints thing so that everyone knows who they are thats why the girl is staring at them because they are on tv and stuff because of them killing sinners and such the guest speaker is startled to see them because he knows who they are and what they have done and he doesnt support it thats why he gets up to stop them or call 911 or something

Am I the only person that wants to know what the priest said the other priests u don't want to fuck with them ,they got to go to work sit back down you don't want to cause a scene
@peterthemophead16 жыл бұрын
yea but right here everyone knows who they are and u get this kind of silent respect from the other people i mean if it as u say then people would be like suprised that these men are walking up and also they are wearing the same attire they wore in the last scene and then when it goes to the next scenes they wear different clothing until they start doing the killings

@youbetterbelievehah Tween? What are you elderly, or freshly 15? Boondock Saints was a sad attempt at a Tarantino film; shotty dialogue, character perspectives, jumping story line. Not saying it was a bad movie, it was just obvious where the inspiration came from. Maybe you should watch a Tarantino film and write back when you know all of the words. Oh, and using your brain helps too...you clearly don't do that much.

i think your description is pretty bad... i mean religious wise. 1st you used fucking and god in the same sentence. 2nd you referred Troy Duffy as a god... that's blasphemy. Either way this movie pwns :D
