The BOOST BUS Needs Help!! Zafira Gsi Opc

The poor boost bus opel Vauxhall zafira Gei Opc model needs some attention, some oil leaks from the z20let sump need replacing and so does the radiator, the usual water leak.

Hi just thought I’d ask you a question are you are very good with cars can you put a blow off valve on a Diesel engine

Not really as there's no throttle body on diesels so therefore no vacuum created by the engine to operate it. If you fit a high flow air filter/intake you'l get a similar noise(boost escaping back through the turbo). However People have made a d.v work on them by using a switch on the throttle pedal & use electric actuator to activate the d.v.

BOB131 Thank you for your help but what I don’t understand I’ve seen many people put on diesel car blow off valve and dump valve and similar things like that and the car has been perfectly fine so what is the truth behind this can you do it or not I just don’t want to put a blow off valve on my diesel engine and something go wrong

You can buy one for like 25 quid off eBay so quite cheap but don’t want to install it and then something going on like I say

Got the issue with my bus leaking oil a little bit from sensor did not change the oil level sensor o ring do i have to replace the sump gaskit again when i strip it back down to change o ring any been on a week

great jobs on your cars. love watching your vids. like to ask you a few questions. my sumps just started to leak i have a astra h vxr do i still need to raise the engine so i can get the upper sump out? secound how come you did not use genuine gasket? with the kit did you use all the gasket or just upper and lower sump gasket. as mine the sump only leaks is it worth doing the other gasket in the kit. Or do we use the old saying if its not broken dont fit it. thanks inadvance jay.

Hello buddy. I have the z20lel , exact same setup obvs. So from watching the video you’re saying don’t use any sealant whatsoever on the upper or lower sump gasket ? Will the gasket not move around when trying to install if you don’t use sealant to hold it in place etc Thanks

My lower sump gasket is weeping but top looks perfectly dry all round, worth doing other at same time? As for the engine needing to tilt can’t you undo the mount whilst cars on ground, then lift engine two inch from below then put a metal block into the gap for mount to sit on?

Hi mate what size are the 3 bolts for the flange that meets the cat from turbo to flex section Mine are corroded, can’t find what size bolts I need / thread pitch. Would you recommend regular bolts with a head and nut then? Rather than the single nut type. Let me know
