I am a 69 year old fan who even remembers the Russell era although not all of it and only through a kid's eyes. Also there was not much TV coverage in those days. I was a season ticket holder at center court no less in 1976 for the greatest game ever played in the game 5 playoff triple OT win v. the Suns. This team is way deeper than that one. So yes this team is awesome as long as we stay healthy.

Can’t give enough credit to Horford’s defensive performance in the finals; after being targeted in drop coverage against the Pacers (namely Nembhard) Horford took on all assignments against the Mavs and never wavered in switches onto Luka or Kyrie. More than held his own, and showed why he is an all time teammate and a deserving champ
