Simply: 1. Luka is cone on defense 2. JT cooks 1on1 defenders 3. Celts hunting mismatch 4. Celts playing unselfish ball
@Ironfangzu5 ай бұрын
1。Luka is indeed cone on defense. 2) No Celtic can be left alone on defense so someone can double team a driving Tatum, Brown, or Holiday. 3. Every Celtic is a plus defender and can hold his own on defense 1 on 1 so there is no need to gamble and double team. They didn't even choose to double team Luka. 4. Almost every Mav is getting torched on defense so they constantly scramble and rotate to try to cover guys who are too fast/strong/skilled. Every position is really a mismatch, except when Luka or Kyrie are on offense. 5. The Celtics had their Duck Boat parade today and there were 2 million fans celebrating, and no one overturned a car, burned a bus, or looted a store. We cheered and clapped, had a great time, thanked our team, and went home. That part was the hardest, but we Bostonians do this a lot, lol (13 championship parades since 2001. No wonder other fan bases hate us)

Mazulla game planning is brilliant but what makes him a genius coach is he knows which buttons to push with his players. He said doesn't matter who the coach is or what game plan they use, if you can't get the players to buy in and work at it, it won't bring success. So how does he motivate everybody? By making everybody feel important. He never takes credit for any success. He gives it to the players, to Brad Stevens for putting the team together, to all the Celtics greats that came before, to his staff, even to the fans.

Yup and his whole coaching style came from some team he coached against and they cooked his team. They created a bunch of extra possessions and shot way more 3s than any other team. He said they made a math problem nobody can solve and now he’s doing it in the nba. Reddick said it, Mazzulla gave mavs a math problem they can’t solve! It’s about the personnel too, Celtics don’t have 1 weak defender or shooter on the team!! Not one!! Even the end of the bench plays D and hits 3s

End of the half 3 point half court shot was traveling😮
@scottmci5 ай бұрын
Steve Javie of the NBA, who monitors the enforcement of rules during games, said it wasn't traveling. Peyton got his gather step (which can be 2 steps) and then used his shooting step, which is a step you can take so long as the player doesn't retain the ball when they land. It's similar to the Eurostep players take at the basket.
@dentpulla5 ай бұрын
@scottmci in gonna agree to disagree on this one. No harm no foul but it was travel all day long. All that european step is like you said EUROPEAN. it's out of hand now to the point they gotta review the two step rule before Mr harden and Mr James started traveling. You watch any 80s,90s, and mid 2000s nba games and it's traveling.
@dentpulla5 ай бұрын
This is gonna be a huge argument about this euro step garbage Mr harden brought to the league and now everyone is over using THE EURO STEP. Key word EUROPEAN STEP. nba is in the USA and I'm sure they aren't calling any rules there THE AMERICAN " " just admit the refs suck and swallow whistles more than they blow them. Kind of like the lady boys in Taiwan
@HoopsIQ5 ай бұрын
Yep, I agree
@dentpulla5 ай бұрын
@HoopsIQ not sure if you read comments about referee explaining how he gathered himself and had an extra step to take shot ,but it's bologna. They make up new rules in the NBA every year now. Sorry I'm off subject of video but the so called EURO STEP has driven me crazy since Mr harden started to add 1 and even 2 extra steps to jump shots . Great video of breaking down the series but I had to add the fact about these extra steps the nba is letting players do

I wanna see a game 4 breakdown. Did Boston throw the game or did mavs beat them down
@bubblehulk76475 ай бұрын
No way they threw a game in the Finals. What if Tatum or Brown got hurt and they actually needed the extra game they gave away? The Mavs needed that game WAY more, they were at home, and they were hitting almost everything in the first half and the Celtics came out flat after going up 3-0 (which in the NBA means they won the finals, but still had to play it out…which is emotionally hard to do.)
@HoopsIQ5 ай бұрын
Interesting, I’ll have to go back and take a closer look
@drchuff4 ай бұрын
I don't think they went into the game with the intent to throw it, but when it became clear early on it wasn't gonna be their night, I think they resigned themselves to going home for gm5 and didn't tighten up on D like they usually do. Also their shots weren't falling and they weren't getting the same calls as DAL. So, like gentlemen the Cs gave em one.
