Hubie Brown has a piece on “How to win with less talent”. One of the points he harps on is having an “inside game” (Driving or Post ups). Inside out with guards is brilliant & they couldn’t have done this last year, posting up Marcus Smart & having Robert Williams in the corner. But Jrue & Porzingis is such an amazing upgrade, especially versatility wise. I’m glad they run post ups as one of their staples, even though they’re known for being a 5 out 3 point shooting team.

Celtics struggled vs zone bc the Jays are not top of the line playmakers or decision makers. JT has improved a lot every season in that regard but it is his weakness as an offensive player when the decisions are not clear cut and the Heat zone defense is ever changing and making it confusing. But simply switching out Marcus smart and Rob Williams who were elite defenders but very subpar offensive threats into KP and Jrue makes life so much simpler for both Jays. It’s harder for them to be doubled and every option on the court is a massive threat who is capable of winning them games. As a Celtics fan this team is 100% the real deal and I would finally consider us real favorites to win it all as this will be the first time in the Tatum era that we are 1st seed. The main concern for this team is of course if the shoot goes cold at a bad time and late game decision making. And of course the health of all core players. This is what will make and break the Cs vs the teams who can keep up with their talent

Def one of the best regular season teams ever. I know it's a new season and a new team, but if they face the Heat again, I think the Heat will be the better team. Yes, Boston has a great record and individual talent and regular season schemes. But when the Celtics get rattled, old habits are still there (namely, iso ball in the crunch). I do find Jaylen Brown's composure in post-game interviews is a good sign, and his emphasis on being grounded and humble tells me he's in a better headspace nowadays. You addressed this in the video from a schematic perspective, but the mentality and mettle are where I am paying attention. I hope both teams are fully healthy and meet again in the playoffs. I do think Boston can prevail. But I need to see this team win some tough games. I'm glad they lost yesterday because it's important to have those gut checks in the season to prepare for the playoffs. Great video, sir. Cheers!

But as a basketball fan first, Boston has no reason not to make the Finals this year. This is the best team in basketball. And by the way, Tatum definitely needs to start being seriously considered for MVP. It’s being held against him that he plays with some great talent around him; however, he’s clearly the engine that makes them go and that has to count for a lot not just a little. Let's pump the brakes on calling this team the best ever. They're a powerhouse when it comes to shooting threes, but strip that away, and they're vulnerable-from the Clippers to the Nuggets, anyone could take them down. The Celtics lean heavily on their three-point game, and when that fails, they're in hot water. Despite having a roster filled with talent, they lack a true superstar, relying instead on a constellation of B-list players. This team echoes the vibes of the Rasheed Wallace and Chauncey Billups-led Pistons, as well as the Jason Kidd Nets-teams that were formidable, likely even finals-bound, but not quite championship material. When it comes down to the wire, especially against a team like Denver, the Celtics' weaknesses have been exposed. Despite the new faces, this squad hasn't really evolved from the Brad Stevens era; they're essentially the same team, albeit with an upgrade in talent. However, in a head-to-head, teams like the Nuggets not only match their talent but also outshine them in coaching strategies.

And they’re the most dominant team in a year where teams are putting up crazy numbers… I want to say they’ll choke in the playoffs, but I’m not even 100% confident in that prediction.

What I think of the Celtics? Unfair. Marcus Smart have lot of deficiency he was way overrated, when Kristaps Porzingis was still underrated. Bucks trading an elite 3&D (Jrue Holiday) for a one way shooter (Lillard) looks pretty stupid. Loosing in fact some depth with another one way shooter (Grayson Allen who thrive in Suns). Seriously shame on Bucks and Wizards to make this super-team possible.
