How?
@megamitchel1004 жыл бұрын
@@BlondeJesus420 okay, education time. I'm a college student learning about animation, and this course tends to have a lot of focus on video editing. While none of my classes focus directly on this style of video I'm going to by applying what I've learned from those courses and apply them to here to show why I do believe this guy has great editing. First off, one thing you're taught is to only show what is important to the audience. Now this doesn't mean not to decorate your scenes and environments, but it does mean you want your primary focus to be on the main cast or to relate to what you're watching. In a video format like this (which is more videogame/documentary style) this basically translates to only showing the game when people could use a visual example. And there's a ton of visual examples that pugger ends up showing off over the course of this video. In fact, anything that is shown on screen here always relates to what's being shown, which among KZbin is rather rare unsurprisingly. Which leads me to my next point, the sheer amount of clips captured for this video was no joke. I may not know how he managed to gather these clips but it always felt intentional. Too many KZbinrs will keep an image up for as long as possible to avoid using another slide or clip to make the workload lighter. If you ever notice how many cuts are in a film there's two signs. Either "please stop you are shaking me around harder than Tony Hawk's signiture Indy 900" or that every scene is there for a deliberate reason which as I described above, Pugger 100% accomplished the later. And I do want to point out one thing because this kinda plagues rookie writers, just because there aren't any fancy editing tricks, you honestly don't need those tools to be a fantastic editor. You don't need high end graphics or lens flares or super fancy slide transitions like on PowerPoint (which you *REALLY* don't need and if you're going to use transition slides, please stick to one and not go all fancy with every single transition. Especially with video, it'll only impress little Timmy and make everyone else just think "oh okay this guy doesn't know how to edit"). A good editor is one that ends up hiding within the background instead of being front and center. A good audience will enjoy their attention being drawn to your topic. Fellow editors will point out the hidden tricks you use. TL;DR, good use of visuals leads to happy audience.

I have a memory from when I was younger and played Runescape (or maybe it was darkscape??) but have never heard of anyone experiencing the same thing I did: Somehow I learned the IG names of a number of Jagex mods either by googling or from seeing them talking. What I would do, for reasons still unapparent to myself, is repeatedly report the mods in-game for spamming, cheating etc. I did this a lot and I mean A LOT a lot. Here is the strange part. A mod whose name I don't remember teleported me to a random island in this dark zone. It was just an island, no entrance or exit. This mod started to grill me in (as an 8-10-year-old) a very daunting way. He basically asked me why I was reporting mods and between everything he typed he would put a -_- face (???). Anyway, he told me to stop reporting and that he would only let me leave the island if I promised I would. Naturally, I obliged but as soon as he teleported me back to Lumbridge I reported this mod who had been grilling me for a solid 20-30 minutes for I think harassment and bullying or something like that. Yep, I received a perma-ban on that account :)

Fun facts for you SirPugger. There was a PvP bot back in the day that would "auto catch" your opponent when they ran after the first 3 rounds of combat. It was heavily abused by rune tanks as well as D Baxe/ DLS pures. PvPers back in the day also used to use a bot that went by the name "ruinbot" due to its ability to show what your player ID was, which was useful in PvP due to having priority with attacking someone and getting the first hitsplat.

Kaitnieks stuck around for a while into early RS2. After autorune died he created SCAR (Shite Compared (to) Auto Rune) which relied on capturing what was on screen, rather than intercepting packets. This made it harder to detect, but far less powerful. I coded a bunch of scripts for SCAR back in the late RSC early RS2 days for the RSCheatnet forum under the name Ohdearurdead. Kaitnieks was an admin on the forum and was actively developing SCAR for quite a while. Ultimately I lost interest when my account was banned after Jagex discovered they could detect the "Silent mouse" feature in SCAR. I never coded the scripts for the sake of "botting" in the traditional sense, coding for SCAR especially in RS2 was finicky. Jagex added tonnes of anti SCAR features like the map and gameworld slightly rotating on their own, or the space between text or colours of items changing slightly. I enjoyed the challenge of getting a script working for hours at a time without breaking, then once I did get a useful script I'd start working on the next one.
