Much needed concept, but I feel like you would benefit from some other voices in the mix. I agree with the comment that you should call it The Other 16. I’m a Mag and would take silverware this season if it were down to me but Europe is more important from the perspective of club development.

@clocktoys. Thank you, yeah that’s what I want I want to try get fans from teams to come on and have their say, and we can have a debate agree or disagree. It’s a good name calling it “the other 14” but I’ve seen a stats based account with that name so I don’t want to copy their name. I agree with you if Newcastle won a cup this year it would mean more to the fans, Thank you for your comment and the advice all the best for the rest of the season 👍

Its arguable that Villa are no longer bottom 14, I think a 5th place finish is a reasonable expectation. Lets see how we go, as most of our fixtures so far have been against lower teams.

@markthornton1 That’s A Valid Point, Espically On Your Perfromances Over The Last Season And The Start Of This One, But I Kept It To The Traditional Top 6 Because The “Bottom 14” Don’t Get Enough Time For People To Come And Talk About Their Clubs Because People Always Focus On The “Top 6” More So Im Trying To Make This A Show Were You Can Come And Have Your Say And Be Heard. 5th Would Be A Reasonable Finish For Villa This Season I Think 7th would Be The Cut Off Personally But 5th Isn’t An Unrealistic Expectation. I Think You’ll Be There Or Abouts Come The End Of The Season, And You Have Played Lower Opposition So Far, But You’ve Won Them All And The Scorelines Haven’t Really Reflected Your Performances. Before the season started I would have put villa 5th or 6th, but we have started so well and really should have won 7 from 7 but watkins fluffed his lines against arsenal. The encouraging thing is we have outplayed everyone except for wycombe but we did make 10 changes for that game. The other six games we have out performed everyone we have played, so I am thinking maybe top 4 again, but so long as we get europe I would be very happy. UTV!

Yeah I think from the start of the season you’ve had, 5th looks like a reasonable target I wouldn’t be surprised if you did finish in the top 4 again this year. Your right every game you should have won. To be truly honest I didn’t watch the Wycombe game, but every premier league game and the champions league match you should have won them all this year. Even the Arsenal lose on another weekend you would have won that game. Even last weekend against wolves you was losing but knew it was just a matter of time till you got back into the game, I must say I enjoy watching Villa and you’ve got a great manager who knows when to make the right subs and has you set up in a fashion that is hard to beat. All the best for the season 👍

@@Jackadamus Thats the other thing, we have a very strong bench this year with 3 long term ACL's back along with the new signings and a couple of younger players getting promoted up.

Money, our revenue isnt anywhere near the traditional top 6. And im still pinching myself about our success since King Unai arrived. However, we still have no silverware in the cabinet. It really annoys me that they who shouldnt be in existence have won a trophy more recently than us. Hopefully that will be rectified this season. Mings & Kamara are in full training, hopefully they can come back & stop the goal leaks. Love to see Ollie & Duran in a 2 Striker team as well.

But give it a few seasons and you keep us this kind of form I don’t see why you can’t break into that “top 6” well that’s a different argument as you have teams who have won trophies but don’t do well in the league, and you’ve got teams that do well in league but don’t have any silverware in the cabniet. Kamara was looking very good at the beginning of last season before that unfortunate injury so he’ll be a big return. Mings coming back I don’t think it’s guaranteed he’ll come into the first team. But having them both back available is nothing but good news Villa. The only thing I disagree with you is I don’t think Watkins and Duran would work as a two because you’d have to change the whole set up to make that work. 👍
