Great guide as always! One note about legend breakpoints - crossbow with +40% vs skaven/armor lets you oneshot bodyshot SV without crit, which is really useful. Enhanced power adds to that oneshot bodyshot breakpoints vs mauler, berserker, plague and hookrat.

35:10 the reason concoction is great on bh is that it allows for a 5 second delete on any monster except the troll with any potion. This also requires 10% cooldown reduction on your trinket. Line up your shot as you drink the potion and then headshot the boss roughly 5 times and its dead. It's pretty easy when you get it lined up and the situation isn't too hectic but in quick play your team might start to aggro or stagger the boss for no apparent reason so it's not incredibly consistent even with great aim. Terrain can also cause difficulties here.

46:04 Even with what you've done here, it's completely possible to follow your build and end up with something different. If someone prefers NB over Barkskin for BH, that is also a viable option, Proxy over concoction for teamplay and personal preference on the Bomb modifier. Even when following with breakpoints and such, one might find that they don't need something (like attack speed) and so takes Power vs Chaos to better handle chaos mobs, killing Maulers, Zerkers, CWs, etc faster (which is what I'm running on my BH). Basically my way of saying that you can take these build guides as a framework to build from to make your play and setup stronger.

Also, Volley Crossbow with Scrounger and Cruel Fortune has near infinite ammo spam potential, not quite as good as Zealot volley crossbow Scrounger smite build but it's still there.

I don't know if you know but with the Repeater Handgun and Prize Bounty double charge shot, you can charge shot, q-q then charge shot much faster then just waiting. Without q-q it's about 2 seconds, with a good q-q it's just under a second

Yeah that is true! :) Although prefferebly you want to use ''Equip Melee --> Equip Ranged'' rather then double quick swap since this prevents that 1/10 times where you overshoot it and end up back with ur melee weapon haha :D But appreciate the reminder to people since I did forget to cover that in this video! :) Always gonna miss something here and there when it's a 12-14 hour production video so glad the community is here to fill the gaps!

@@ThePartyKnife Ah I don't have a problem with pressing q too many times, it's just remembering that there is a small delay before it let's you press it aha, though you can use a sound qué for the timing, as soon as the shot sound ends, you can then press again, you can do it a bit sooner though but this is I guess a safety net

Nice Vid! Personally I use Salvaged Ammunition because I put stamina and BCK on my rapier and I find it enough to prevent damage. Plus I can spam shots away and get some back with a simple kill.

Yeah salvaged ammo seems the superior choice since it doesnt go away on death and doesnt make you compete with other melee/sniping specialists on elite/special kills. It synergises excellently with Blessed Combat and Crossbow, since it means you can shoot a crit crossbow between every melee kill, which is fantastic for mixed hordes.

I've found crit power to be mostly useless even with BH's guranteed crits, because the increase in damage compared to just 10% Power Vs. is either too little to make a difference or that if the boost is noticeable the base damage is so high that it kills things anyways. Crit power only plays use in whittling down monsters quicker, but otherwise falls flat everywhere else. More importantly, Power Vs applies even without a crit, so is more useful for melee and useful for non-crit ranged BPs. Only in Modded Content where enemies have such high HP would crit power play use, as you could then go for high crit BPs that would usually be overkill.

I love Prized Bounty because I got used to having a free shot I didn't have to reload. Not wasting time to reload after you do a quick Q tap and delete an elite is a really cool feeling.

Big issue I have with BH is farming temp hp. I'll play safe and only take 300 damage, but still go down twice on a single run.

That's why Bounty Hunter is the most fun with a premade team or lucky pubs - as long as theres 1 person with an ult that gives thp I'm good. E.g. Merc, Ranger Vet, Unchained. Maybe Sister of the Thorn for the 25% bonus on your own thp gen.

Personally like to use Griffon Foot and Salvaged Ammunition together for crowd clearing, and then take care of the rest with either billhook or rapier, whichever I grabbed for the job, or I can use Double Shotted to pop the enemy. Got something to deal with pretty much everything like that. Chances are the horde is gonna be nice and thin after 6 griffon foot shots, and then you just use blessed combat and salvaged ammo to melee your ammo back. Also makes it alot less problematic to deal with the big ones when the small ones are gone

Great guide m8, i love BH as its one of the most interesting/challenging class for Saltzpyre. I also totally agree on the pistols, they are too much fun (and look cool) to pass even though they are not top tier ranged slot.Crossbow is boring for me even though its consistent, but i find pistols more versatile since sometimes you want that burst on Monsters. I would love to see your thoughts/builds on Outcast engineer.

What do you think of parry on the rapier? I can see how it's useful in SHTF situations but I think with swift slaying you naturally avoid bad situations because of the increased attack speed. It is nice if monks are swarming though, but it seems too situational.

Bounty Hunter has a unique niche where Blessed Shots affects the Rapier Pistol shot, so a guaranteed crit on the rapier and thus guaranteed constant Swift Slaying uptime. Faster rapier means fast Heavies for elite kill or even single trash minion kill, so that you can get thp and reset Blessed Shots due to Blessed Combat.

How does griffon's foot fall into the BH build? It seems very powerful at clearing hordes even with cata twitch.

I've found it an absolute blast on Legend, even more fun than Brace of Pistols. Blessed Shots and Blessed Combat means you can fire a shot in between every melee kill for a crit horde clear and slowly regain ammo, but 2 shots per melee kill also works for faster horde clear. It can also demolish every special, berserker, and elite except chaos warriors if you get an up-close crit. And as always, you have your ult if you desperately need to kill a special from afar.

Honestly I did run Prize Bounty when I first ran him with the crossbow and Scrounger, you get 2 ammo for zero use every 10 seconds plus's a second shot already loaded, but Crurl Fortune allows 2 ammo for 1 shot every 6 seconds, I have no problem running out of ammo with Cruel Fortune ever so I don't believe Prize Bounty is worth it, plus CF allows for faster kills due to lower guaranteed crit cool down. I haven't messed around at all yet with Blessed Combat.

There is certainly a case to be made for the infinite ammo spam and in fact it's the exact thing I used to do myself when playing BH for at least a year. But these builds are mostly focused at regular QP difficulties and I feel like the average player will be better off with blessed combat even if they infinity spam is superior for things like FoW etc :) I could be wrong but that was the logic behind it at least .P

Unless there is zero trash minions whatsoever, Blessed Combat is essentially infinity spam as well. Plus, with the new update a kill with the rapier's pistol special is affected by Blessed Shot - giving a guaranteed crit in melee and triggering swift slaying - AND triggers Blessed Combat to reset Blessed Shots. In actual high pressure scenarios it is the ideal choice.

You save some time not having to reload after each shot though, giving you a rapid 2 shots with the Crossbow and a free 3 shot burst from your volley and even with the Brace of pistols, time reloading is time not fighting, so you get essentially 13 shots against a boss before reloading instead of 12.

I was under the impression that BH was on the same tier as Shade when it comes to carrying. However watching your video on Legend / Cata is making me think that’s not the case. All I know is that he can carry HARD on Champion and I’m trying to work my way to Legend, but I’m getting destroyed by trash and hordes.

Bounty Hunter Carrys are by virtue of Rapier, Blessed Shots, and Blessed Combat allowing him to clutch solo situations, but you need to not get hit. If you're not solo clutching then the only help he needs is a career with a thp-giving ult. Mercenary is the best but Ranger Vet or Unchained are also good.

If you use a weird build in him by using volley crossbow, Scrounger and Smite talent, you proc smite ever 2 or 3 alt shots, true infinite ammo, we used it on Fortunes of War to great effect

I strongly disagree with Blood for Money simply because rapier have 3 overhead attack combos which most of the time land on the head, each combo 6 hp and its much better on hordes than Tithtaker (also rapier special in count as melee for THP as i remember and its guaranteed crit om BH) Also as general tought, i never hold my ulty if i see horde of enemies aproaching, you most likely hit 2-3+ headshots and instantly replenish ulty while killing up to 8 models

@@ThePartyKnife Bounty Hunter is my main class & I was too tired to reply at that time but I run Hunter instead of scrounger and Cruel fortune instead of blessed combat and also take open wounds to capitalize on blessed shots, so if there is a pack of elite enemies ie. Maulers/Stormvermins/CWs in order to preserve ammo i shoot one of them once or twice to kill one maybe but to proc hunter then go in with the rapier and kill them, and every six seconds the rapier pistol does crit and just overall stuns them momentarily which is a great opener, this is how I preserve ammo for important stuff like specials on Cata. Also I have cooldown reduction on trinket instead of critchance, its my guilty pleasure because your ult comes back 5 seconds after a headshot, which I always try and headshot, so I keep using the ult to preserve ammo. its also nice because with a concentration potion you can stun lock and kill every boss except chaos spawn since its mouth is so small although it requires a bit of practice to pull it off Edit: ALSO I take Blood for money instead of Tithetaker especially for quickplay pubs because you are most probably the last person to kill an Elite on your party, so making thp on headshots done to skaven or chaos horde is much more consistent on cata (NOT Legend) it works wonders since the hordes have more health you can score more headshots on them before they die and you generate an amazing thp bar which would be impossible with melee kills, you just have to keep aiming for their hesd when killing hordes which is not that hard to do with a bit of practice.

You should pretty much never pick weight of fire. Open wounds damage bonus counts on the hit that procs it, so even with a large clip weapon like brace of pistols or volley crossbow you will consistently get higher damage output from both your crit shots and your subsequent shots with open wounds than weight of fire.

Whilst what you are saying is true in theory I would argue it's quite a bit different in practice. Especially with the brace of pistols. Sure it procs and affects your critical hit shot which for the most part either one or two shots that enemy minion. But now you have a period of 8 seconds in between where all shots that don't either crit or are subsequent shots on a minion your already critical hit (which is a very small amount since most shots that crit will 1 shot the target) that no longer reach critical breakpoints. This puts you in a position where the amount of shots you need to finish a target becomes very inconsistent and depends on timing. So for the brace of pistols where you are spamming a lot we will have to agree to disagree which one is best ;)

I would just mention that with blessed combat your downtime on passive is pretty darn low but I also must admit I am not much of a brace of pistols BH in the first place so my experience with them is pretty limited. I just know Combine specifically hates weight of fire and he is a BOP diehard so I thought I'd mention it. I love how different players always end up with their own styles and builds :) again I loved this video and all your others! Been playing hunter on crossbow with falchion and indiscriminate blast. It absolutely tears through cata twins. One of the most fun builds I've found in awhile!
