The scene with the Neski daughter maybe one of the best scenes of any movie. There is so much build up to it from both movies that you don't even realise when you watch it.

Pam Landy is the best kind of adversary: she starts off as an antagonist, but is smart enough to realize that things don't add up, and becomes an ally.

The "It's easy. She's standing right next to you" is one of the best moments in cinema. You can feel every butthole in that room clench in fear.

Marie's death is the BEST! (and by that, I also mean "worst") It is so heartbreaking & perfectly done. Her LAST words & actions in life, was to gently tell Borne, "Yes you do." when he said he "had no choice". And give him a sad, sympathetic look. Basically, she was; calming him, pulling him away from becoming "agent Borne" again and bringing him back to his "humanity". Then BAM! Shot in the back of the head. At least she went quickly and the last thing she saw was the man she loves. It just rips your heart out.

Agreed, and the underwater shots were so well done and gorgeous! Definitely still a shock, but as I say in the video it is what drives him not to kill every single person but be a better man like Marie wanted! Excited to see the next one!

I like Pam, played by Joan Allen. She's a perfect example of a strong female lead - strong, confident, decisive, authoritative. She takes charge, intelligently, and stays in control even when she's deep over her head. She doesn't have to be a toxic-male-clone to prove her strength. Well-written and well-acted.

I was so upset that Franka Potente was in this one for such a short amount of time, though Marie's death was an understandable catalyst to get Bourne back into the action. She's great in the German movie Run Lola Run (1998).

Yeah I was so excited to see her again and then she died pretty much right away... I do think it drove the plot for the rest of the movie though, but was still upsetting!

The scene when Bourne tells Pam to get some rest and the music kicks in is perfect, he always has the upper hand, is a step ahead.

You know what's crazy is the ending song was done by Moby. And it's a banger. I was watching the movie Heat recently and thought that little ending song was also a banger, so I looked into who made and it was of course Moby again. Moby's got something special.

2:15 "I wonder how they come up with these names." That's an interesting question. Robert Ludlum wrote the books. Every one of his 27 titles is the same format: an article (usually 'the'), a proper noun, and an abstract noun creating, for example, The YIva Reaction. One day when he wasn't very famous, this author thought "One day I'll be famous and won't it be cool if my many, many books all had extremely similar titles, almost as if it's my signature style." Then he did it. Clever guy. Sadly, he passed away as they were making The Bourne Identity.

8:10 As much as I love this movie, when I saw this for the first time in theaters back when I was 12, I was like “Bro.. are you really trying to give mouth-to-mouth to someone that got a bullet to the head??” I couldn’t help but facepalm at that. Even when I was that young, I knew that she was killed instantly

I’m glad you like that scene as much as I do. It’s actually my favourite ending to a spy thriller ever, with the unavoidable context being Iraq War disenchantment.

Very smart that Jason Bourne recorded the proof

I have watched this movie so many times I just realized Karl Urban is so sure he got Bourne even though he shot Marie, because the last time he saw the car up close Bourne was driving, but they switched so Bourne could bail out and the head rests are blocking their heads from his view, so he defaults to shooing the driver, who he thinks is still Bourne.

To this day I still hate that Marie died in this movie, they should have kept her around at least until the third movie like damn , RIP to Marie 🙏🕊️, also same The Bourne Identity is still my favorite Bourne movie in this franchise

When you watch the third movie, you see this film's ending is not really "tying this story up". 😅

8:25 "Seriou9sly not going to take her up for some CPR?" She didn't drown. She got shot in the head with a sniper rifle. CPR won't fix that. Also, the sniper SAW Jason Bourne driving the car. He did not see them switch. Through his scope, he could only see their headrest, not their heads, so he shot the spot he believed Jason Bourne was in.

subscribed. i was pleasantly surprised at how emotionally intuitive and observant you are. great reaction. the 'bourne ultimatum' was great (but 'jason bourne' was a disappointment). from the damon trilogy, 'supreme' is my sentimental favorite. the 'bourne legacy' with renner is actually highly underrated. i would skip the 4th 'bourne' installment and watch 'legacy' instead.

By all means, after "The Bourne Ultimatum" (the best of the first three, IMO, you should watch "The Bourne Legacy" and then finish it off with "Jason Bourne". While "The Bourne Legacy" doesn't have Bourne (or Matt Damon), it's still a solid movie and stars Jeremy Renner. The movie parallels the time frame in "The Bourne Ultimatum".
