According to TMZ, VINNIE VINCENT - the guitarist who famously took ACE FREHLEY's place in the band KISS - was arrested yesterday on charges of aggravated assault . Vincent (real name Vinnie Cusano) was busted by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department in Tennessee and held on $10,000 bond. He posted and was released at 11:27 AM. An update from TMZ states: "Vincent Cusano - aka Vinnie Vincent-- allegedly smacked his wife in the face and dragged her through a pile of broken glass on the night he was arrested .. and when cops arrived to the house, they found 4 dead dogs at the scene... this according to law enforcement." (May 23. 2011) That's terrible. What happened to those dogs?

A huge misconception of Lick It Up is that it did well all around. It did get them back in the spotlight. And the record sold well. But by all accounts the tour was not well attended. When I saw that tour the arena was half empty.

In all honesty, Vinnie did "save the band" just by showing up, they could have gotten anybody else to play guitar, and that person would have saved the band because they replaced Ace when they needed a lead guitarist.

You do know what the word " Save " means right? Taking off the make up saved Kiss, and then putting it back on saved them again. Vinnie wrote some great songs but his first album with the band bombed hard ! No one cared about the " make up kiddy " band anymore even though Creatures is a classic now , no one cared at the time. And magically they took the make up off and started doing better. Vinnie couldn't even save his own career let alone Kiss !

I think Vinnie made enough money from his “reappearance “ interviews and festivals ( the ones he didn’t cancel) for him to go back underground for another 20 years. The only way I see him fulfilling those box set orders from 20+ years ago is if he posts another “improved” box set sale, but at a high price do that he’d be able to press enough extra copies to both fulfill the new orders and the old ones as well. And maybe even break even. That is, if he were to truly want to honor those old orders people paid for.

hahaha....this was a great video. Vincent did write some killer tunes for kiss, but his guitar solo work wasn't what I'd call great. He's a true drama queen when you know the history. I didn't like Bruce as well as hid brother Bob. But Bruce was and is a great guy and an good guitar player. I'm not sure about his writing though.
