I listened to this track for months on end after one of my best friends took his own life. I’d always adored the song but it took on a completely new meaning when I lost someone so special, someone that I tried so hard to save. I hear him speaking to me in these lines, in the melody. I hear him explaining his reasons, his pain. I hear his fear that he wasn’t good enough, I hear his regret even though he was resolved. I hear his worry that he won’t be forgiven for surrendering. I hear our memories together. I hear the peace he’s found on the other side. I hear the promise we will be together again. I miss you so much, Craig. 🖤

Wow… I never heard this before until tonight. I had fallen asleep with my headset on, listening to my music. I woke up about an hour later at 2AM, and Spotify was randomly playing this song right at the moment I was waking up from a pretty heavy sleep. The four minutes the song lasted I spent slowly waking up and realizing this is maybe the greatest song I have heard in years, and I have to wake up soon to be able to save the song - but at the same time I also wanted to savour the moment for as long as possible. It felt like I was flying or floating above my bed. One of the best musical experiences I have ever had. I just had to share it here before going back to sleep. The band did a fantastic job with this one, what a song!
