@@spazzout1k350 ooooooook, i must have missed something, because i don't remember ANYWHERE "in this series" where Homelander is EVER referred to as the Cap of this series......and i am upto date with The Boys they made the same comment that i was thinking when i first watched........i wasn't ridiculing them.....i didn't tell them that they didn't know what they were talking about, i wasn't calling them stupid I had the same thought, BECAUSE of the star spangliness of his outfit, and then i quickly realized, he WASN't......and THEN we got introduced to Soldier Boy....."you think you look tough? You're wearing a cape!" Soldier Boy was presented as having faught the nazis.....that's Cap's shtick, AND Soldier Boy's......NOT Homelander's AND MORE IMPORTANTLY....i was NOT ridiculing them

On second watch through (because of these react channels) I agree and dont get that line either. Because he knows the depths of Homelanders depravity so why lie? Is it so the team stays focused on the other members of the 7, because he is easing Hughie into this new knowledge of the evil Supes commit? Is it a bit of Black Humor? IDK he says it so confidently. Its so prominent a line there must be a reason to put it in.

"but i thought he was supposed to be the only good one?" that's an excellent summary of the message of the show. it's a nihilistic attack on every institution, all political parties, and really, every corner of our society. the idea is that even politicians, movements, brands, etc., that present themselves as progressive or wholesome, are still just part of these fucked up systems that exist to maintain the status quo and power disparities. this show has some of the best social commentary i've ever seen, and it's also surprisingly funny every step of the way. and yes, the girls being half naked is part of the social commentary, and it becomes a plot point later on.

Ladies, "The Boys" ( like TWD ) is based on the comics of the same name. Hughie is played by Jack Quaid, Dennis Quaid & Meg Ryan's son. The Boys was developed into a television series by Eric Kripke, creator of "Supernatural" and co-creator of "Timeless" Two seasons of 16 episodes have aired so far and season three begins on June 3rd.

The ending there... Butcher lied to Hughie (something that will become a constant throughout the series). Butcher has it out for Homelander specifically. You will find out why, shortly. But he has his reasons for lying and for hating Homelander. In truth, Homelander is BY FAR the worst of all of them.

@@elbruces My point is that “supes” in most other comics, or at least in Marvel, are mostly good, kind, generous, and otherwise virtuous people before they get powers. In The Boys, it’s just ordinary people who are literally being conditioned from day 1 to only care about their image and Vought’s. So you end up with someone like Starlight occasionally, but most of them are like A-Train or Translucent. If only the right people were allowed to have Compound V, you could definitely get a good superhero team in the world of The Boys.

If you want some feedback the audio is all over the place, show is silent, every one of you has different volume level + all the eating and moving around noises, rendering software should have function for equalizing sound levels. And you cut out most of the little pay out jokes like whan deep tells starlinght it was hard to swallow ect.... but i can imagine its hard to choose what to cut and what to leave.

The Boys is a Parody of the JL not the Avengers. It's based in on an old DC comic [Dark Horse] series. Butcher isn't Logan since in the canon comics he is the main Bad guy. Homelander is abased on Superman not Captain America In season 3 they introduce their version of the Avengers and their Captain America who is called Solider Boy. Huey's Girl friend is in reference to Robin [Batman's sidekick] who always dies.

I’ll say The Boys is a much better written show than TWD at this point along with The World Beyond. I get that it won your poll and that TWD gets views, but if you are getting burn out from TWD shows I’d recommend just abandoning it because all walking dead shows recycle plot lines from one another all the time
