10:30 i think you are misunderstand because he said like this because somehow, they are got caught. Zeke tell to Maley because it the best way for him to protect he family like grandparents. Because if the Malays were to catch them all , the whole family would be sent to a paradise island. Zeke points out that Maley is see he loyalty. (Although that not true.) He just told Zeke to do what can to be do and Zeke did it because he has to do.

9:39 this is why I don't get why girl on the right is so instantly confident and talking about the "reveal" but its not even effectively confirmed until they transform. It's like in a show where a character is about to die but they don't show it, so the golden rule is never assume their dead. Girls on the left are like everyone else where you assume its a mis-translation or you think Erens dreaming lol

since english isn't my first language, watch sub more like 'neutral' area to me. i heard japanese voice, while read english word and translate into my language (Indonesia). in my opinion, sub much much better but i can understand if it's for reaction.

安楽死 Anrakushi is euthanization in Japanese so it's not really a mistranslation, but more like incomplete title/explanation of the plan. The plan consists of both sterilization and euthanization (in the sense that they'll let the Eldians die peacefully...) Some Japanese people use euthanization services in Swiss (or Switzerland, can't remember which one) since euthanization is illegal here in Japan.

No more the great warrior Levi. Really missed him as the great expert warrior he used to be. No one knows what really happened that day, the day Rod Reiss family been massacred. Only one person did and he never in there yet, the day it happened.

One of the biggest mistakes I think the writer did for a lot of this characters like Zeke. Here is trying to make him sympathetic or understandable, while he was clearly enjoying killing innocents in previous episodes.

Grisha did not learn about the 13 year life span until after he was turned in by Zeke. Which he learned later after he was shipped to Paradise island and the Owl revealed himself.

Hmmm... it seemed it was written that way because it was a reveal to the audience, but it feels like a plot hole. It feels like the lifespan of Titans was common knowledge among Eldians in Marley, if not Marleyans themselves, and even if that weren't the case, the Resistance probably knew about it. Otherwise, why would Grisha even think Zeke had a shot at becoming a Warrior any time soon? Why were they recruiting Eldian kids so often? Wouldn't the friends of Warrior families notice the pattern?

Plus in Ep 4-2, Falco knows about the 13-year curse, and he hasn't even been picked yet. If they're telling the kid candidates that, it's hard to believe the parents don't know too. Doesn't Mr. Ksaver casually mention it to little Zeke too? When Zeke complains about not being picked, Tom says something like "It's silly to shorten your lifespan for Marley" something something.

@@jlilley73 Quit using the word plot hole so loosely, just because you don't understand something. It is not common knowledge and I don't know why you thought it was, we have only seen certain types of people know of it. Warriors know the curse because they inherit a titan's power, Marley tells them and they eventually see it. Falco's family are honorary marleyans, they are either told by their children or Marley. Ksaver is a Warrior and honorary marleyan, of course he would know. Grisha is just some radicalized doctor, he shouldn't and wouldn't know of these things.

@@jordanpatterson8536 My point was that Tom mentioned it so casually to little "we'll never pick you" Zeke, and by that same reasoning Zofia and Udo probably also know but their parents don't. It's just hard for me to believe that these little kids wouldn't cry to their parents about it after finding out.

21:22 When the scouts did the charge against him and he knew they were all going to die, he started getting angry about it at first, and at that point he stopped and said something to himself like "don't be like your father", and then he started making light of the whole thing and having fun. I think also his past as a marleyan warrior helped him turn into someone who could be that cold when it comes to killing people. I am sure that in order to get the trust of Marley he had to kill a lot of their enemies at war as the beast titan, probably including many civilians (Marley was using the eldian warriors to invade other nations). Of course that doesn't excuse his disregard for the lives of others.

Eugenics is the attempt to improve human genetic quality by selective breeding, but also selectively disallowing certain genes to be passed on. This is eugenics because eldians do have a genetic link, that makes them the target for removal from the gene pool.

My headcanon regarding Zeke is that he has deleveloped a kind of selfhate and racism towards Eldians and that makes killing them easier. That's why we see him have fun while killing them

i think that it's not that he takes pleasure in killing them but as he says to levi for him he was making them a favor as he thinks that the eldians will forever suffer. But certainly i think that in the anime they made him more evil with the way he talks and expressions in those scenes, also because they they reinterpreted many things in the first 2 seasons from an artistic point because isayama was very bad at the start at drawing, in contrary levi in the manga in some parts of the events of the 3 season should have been more ruthless.

With this part Zeke became my 2/3nd favourite characters. About the scouts he was doing it to "find solace" in what he was doing (he says "you have to find pleasure in what you do"). I cant spoil but you ll also change idea on something mnm i envy you, there are still some peak you have to watch. Rewatching aot is always a good idea.
