Of all the shows to make me cry, I never expected it to be The Boys. What an absolutely heartbreaking scene with outstanding performances.

Really glad that Pegg got a chance to shine before his exit from the show - Hugh Sr. really was underutilized over the years.. in a way thats kinda the tragic story of Hughie and his relationship since Robin died.. he just sorta faded into the background, albeit he never complained about it.

I think Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character is all in Butchers mind. At the end in the barn, when he was talking to Sameer, Sameer looked over to where Kessler should’ve been as if he couldn’t see him. It’s all in Butchers head. Part of his ‘Venom’ personality from the V. No one else has interacted with him, because he’s not really there.
@ciaran41356 ай бұрын
Yep, that's what I was thinking. By the time we saw Jeffrey Dean Morgan's second scene with Butcher, I had my suspicions with the fact that Jeffrey has only had scenes with Butcher. If that's the 'big twist', I will be so disappointed because it's so obvious lmao

This was the most Supernatural esque episode of the series. Angsty boys, running from monsters, and bringing someone back from the dead goes wrong. The big bad is even usurping the role of god.

Sage CLEARLY inows it's A-Train from her phrasing. And, I haven't seen anyone pointing out that the "Guardians of Godolkin" make EIGHT members of The Seven.

Regarding Frenchie's change of heart, don't forget that he was in rehab. This is probably the first time ever that he's been sober for an significant amount of time. And part of the rehab process is to seek apologize to those that were injured by the patient's actions.

Idc what others say.. i am enjoying the season and just the topics of coming to terms with the past and the relationships between parents and children and just the complexities of forgiveness and letting go... even with all the shenanigans i am enjoying the different characters and them each having to deal with their own problems.

So many great performances in this ep. But honestly I can't tell you how much I don't care about Frenchies little melodrama that we seem to keep revisiting OVER AND OVER, what an absolute waste of what was a charismatic and meaningful side character
@illustrated__man6 ай бұрын
I think people are kinda looking at the Frenchie thing in the wrong way, honestly. Dude has been selfmedicating for years now, dudes basically a junkie to keep the ghosts at bay.. this episode he finally had it and decided to take a stand and end the cycle.. that's a pretty big thing. Although I can see that kinda getting lost in the shuffle considering the other stuff going on in the episode. I think it would behove a lot of people to remember that in many ways the underlying theme of the show is broken people.. not just a Superman/DC parody.
@ImDerpyDuck6 ай бұрын
@@illustrated__man I can agree with that. For me there is more side stuff I'm wanting to see other than "character with a heart of gold haunted by his past" schtick
@rafaelcruz99736 ай бұрын
I kinda don't care at all about any one of the boys' individual arcs this season tbh. Butcher, Kimiko, Frenchie, MM, Hughie, Starlight are all so uninteresting compared to the Vought side of things, the show has not been moving forward lately because they don't want to kill any characters off.
@illustrated__man6 ай бұрын
@@rafaelcruz9973 I'd argue the show is spinning its wheels a bit on either side - the Boys and the Supes, both. The Vought stuff basically boils down to Homelander still being nuts and on the cusp of breaking entirely - and the usual palace intrique.. that's hardly new, nor interesting.
@hecrosegreat39436 ай бұрын
