To be fair, it was Butcher that wanted to make the deal. He called Numan first. And he never told anyone after he didn't go through it. So I understand some of the anger. Also, Butcher has been awful to Starlight since season 1 and they had only one small moment of levity back in season 2. The others are more used to him, so they are able to move on quicker.

The whole scene with sage and homelander sharing looks I think is showing that they’ve both picked up on a train being the leak. Like sage was already mind probing a train nothing his reactions, then here at the end Homelander picked up on a trains reaction to what they were doing then looked to sage being all like “you seeing this,” confirming she was thinking the same thing he was.
