I kinda-sorta see why they're using Hughie as the emotional scapegoat this season (again).. my problem is more with the overall execution of it - it just comes across as them pouring vast amounts of cruelty and deception all over the character without any followup.

I think this is to strengthen our belief in Butcher’s cause and I think they’re also doing it to transition Hughie into getting stronger and eventually take matters into his own hands like Butcher. But that’s just what I think

The Deeps only slightly redeemable quality was his love of ocean creatures but him killing Ambrosius and saying to Homelander "I'll kill every goddamn fish in the ocean" pretty much finally kills off any likability, next to Homelander he's the one I wanna see die the most.

I think my biggest gripe with this season is that it appears the writers have absolutely no clue where to take Ryan as a character.. to the point where the portrayal almost comes off as schizophrenic. He goes from kid struggling with his identity to budding sociopath, then reverts back to struggling kid - almost figures some things out, then right back to being creepy again. And I'd be very surprised if we dont see another about-face in the finale.. in whatever direction they decide to take it. But all things considered.. the way that kid shifts gears makes Homelander look emotionally stable.

Yea there was another shapershifter on the show (doppelgänger) but he could only take the form not the memories of who he shifted into. Also he couldn’t hold the form for long periods of time because he said it was like flexing a muscle. This new shapeshifter doesn’t seem to have this problem 😊

No seriously the Deep, is a HORRIBLE person. Like you can forget that by how funny or stupid he seems, but this episode really doubled down on it. What he did to starlight he was already unredeemable, but the show kinda makes u forget that due to his humor, but this episode letting that octopus die was soo messed up for me. When I watched this episode I almost got angry and teared up watching that scene. So messed up bro, sooooooo messed up. Edit: Octopi can only fit into things the size of their eyeball can. So it would dependent on how large the space is. So if their eyeball can fit through it, everything else can.

I love this season but there’s been some major inconsistencies. Like how did the octopus go from listening to Deep reading her poetry on the bed to suddenly dying without water. Stephen Hillenburg would be so offended at the inaccuracy of marine biology 💀

yea that's true but the octopus said she could only survive without water for a little bit. I'm guessing they just sped up her death in that moment cuz it would take to long which is why it was funny how she kept coming back lol

@@StruckByBelz There was a sea animal zoo place where they had an octopus that was leaving leaving it's cage or uhh, whatever u call the thing u keep fish in, and it would go over to the shark tank and literally eat the sharks, and they were wondering how these sharks were dying and disappearing. There's also a Netflix documentary on this octopus this dude spent it's lifespan with observing how incredibly smart it was. Octopus even play around, like no survival reason just having fun. They're incredibly intelligent, not just problem solvers, they're very aware.
