Yeah, like every supe in this show seems to have some kind of super strenght and also super hard skin. Guess thats something like the "base supe" that makes them just stronger and more dureable than normal humans. And then they have their own special power, where in case of Homelander, Maeve or Sam thats even more of the base power on top of that, so they are extra strong and even harder to kill.

In this case it was unfortunately a sociopath, which is interesting in another way I suppose, but since our memories and experiences shape us as a person I always thought about how the shapeshifters kinda become part of that person who's identity they stole too. Pashmina is a type of fabric that is a really good insulator. So my guess is, "90% pashmina" means real Annie is almost always wearing warm clothes cause she's cold. So fake Annie sweating at a temp when real Annie would be wearing multiple layers was the final detail he needed to put everything together.

I think Sage just jumped the list for one of the scariest antagonists both on the show and on TV currently. She’s feels like a mix of the Joker and Steven from Django Unchained. The former because her true motivation regardless of what she tells anyone is just the joy of the game, to laugh while it all burns down. And the latter because her actions will actively harm fellow supes and African Americans, and it doesn’t matter to her. A+ writing and performance.

It's a common trope that people with superpowers lose control of them when they're emotionally compromised. As we are never given any other reasons as to why hers weren't working, I'm thinking that was the case with Starlight. The entire season was basically an all-out attack designed and engineered to specifically destroy her on every level in the eyes of the entire world. So yeah, I'd imagine that if her mental health and emotional state are on the fritz, her powers, which require focus and concentration, would also be messing up or not working altogether.

I'm very curious about what they do with her and season 5 though, because shit's bad right now and she is pretty much all alone now as well. I suppose Gen V could carry over some characters like Marie, which could replace Vicky.

There were clues from the beginning that Frenchie was bisexual. From Frenchie saying he goes to sleep with someone different every night, to telling M.M. not to be so closed minded when he was introduced to Love Sausage, to Little Nina saying they've both had bigger things than the feds up their asses. I had assumed that the relationship between Frenchie , Cherie , and the friend who overdosed was sexual. I'm guessing the people upset about it this season probably think the show suddenly went 'woke'. It'd be amusing if it weren't so depressing.

Personally don’t have a problem with frenchie being Bi, we already known this since season 2. Regarding Butcher’s tumor/parasite pulling Neuman apart after showing her being so indestructible throughout the season, including against Homelander’s laser eyes in this episode, that was their way of showing just how strong Butcher is now; he’s possibly even strong enough to face Homelander (but Ryan would probably still get to him due to his emotions).

Plus, he needed Neuman because the plan (far as he knew) was for her to assume the office of President once they killed Singer, he wasn't trying to hurt her, just expose her as a supe.

They want to train Ryan because he's the only one who could possibly match him, but who said it has to be a 1v1? That's a good plan, but one problem would be finding supes that would have the motivation to help them and be powerful enough. Remember, because of Vought's marketing and propaganda, most people (regular and supes) see Homelander as a hero. I can't think of a team they could have put together before last season. Their best shot was the end of last season when Soldier Boy, Maeve, and Butcher (with Temp V powers) were together (Ryan being there messed that up).

Like a "shield" they can focus that absorbs the attack. Butcher went past that and just pulled her apart, which would be based off of her regular supe durability.

It doesn't completely disprove the theory, but I think she's just supposed to be kinda like stormfront or Sam, where they seem like they're just on another level. Homelander and his bloodline are the most powerful, but it makes sense that others are at least moderately around that ballpark. I think Annies powers were out of comission because of an inner block. She couldn't reconcile her deeds and where she was with her self image and thus had problems accessing her powers. But that very freudian beat up of her self probably cleared some / most of that because she admitted to herself she doesn't know who she's right now but let go of old labels and found more peace within herself

you might be on to something at the theory of taking the virus from Kimiko's leg and taking into account her regeneration skills. That might play a part. I see that as Final Season having rogue Butcher/Kessler being the villain and had to be "put down" with the virus at the end, but the virus was modified that it'll remove Butcher's power but also save his life.

So, if the virus kills anyone with V in their system, will it even really harm Ryan being he is the first naturally born Supe? That moment when Butcher says "You're all f-ing welcome." That's him doing his Jeffrey Dean Morgan impression. When Kessler says "super cancer!", there was a character in The Boys Diabolical whose cancer cells mutated into something similar to what is in Butcher. Maybe you could react to that since it will be 2026 when the final season ofThw Boys airs.. When Ashley's head was going nuts, they pulled back and you could see the TV experience some interference, so I think at least part of her power will be some sort of telekinesis. We got hear Kimiko sing before. Sure, t wasn't supposed to be taking place in reality, but we got to hear it.

Superpowers in The Boys are related to the character of the person taking V. Hughie was able to disappear (teleport), Butcher had the same powers as Homelander etc. So I wonder what will be Asley's powers. She didn't leave with A-Train so it's probably not super speed or invisibility. We know that Ashley protected people from Homelander. She deleted the video showing that Maeve survived and this season she told a story about firing her assistant to protect them, to name two examples. Hence, my guess is that she will have some kind of protective powers to step between supes and their victims.
