My guess is Sage plans to manipulate Homelander for her own ends. Maybe destroy the Seven and take control of Vaught. Whatever it is, it will be diabolical.

It seems the writers have decided the time for subtle satire has passed. The dangers of extreme politics needs to be spelled out explicitly. Watching USA politics from the UK it’s terrifying, but we might not be far behind.

So I was thinking this while watching EP 1 and then with some developments in EP 2 showing just how much of the superhero shit is fake, I'm wondering if the Deep even can actually talk to the sea creatures or if it's a psychosis like Black Noir's cartoon characters
