Deep has been shown to be pretty damn strong and quite durable. I'm interested to see what finally takes him out. Too bad the way the show/comic is written, we never actually explore what Deep is capable of while out in the oceans. Perhaps they are saving a few oceanic scenes for the finale. Would be fun to see him commanding the sea creatures during a final push sequence late in the last season.

Annie also says that she’s been calling her mom for a while with no answer until then. I think her mother had been compromised and that it was the shape shifter pretending to be her mom on that call and saw hughie putting in the code in the safe while talking with Annie. Then shape shifted as Annie to get access to their apartment and get the computer (since they already knew where it was and the code).

I think the shapeshifter will reveal the dirt the Boys have on Victoria. Since the shapeshifter works for Sage, and Sage wants to create chaos as revenge for being ignored by everyone. Releasing the information on Victoria would be a catalyst to more conflict between the boys and vought. This is just a loose take btw wanted to speculate other theories 😅

Worth considering… Regarding Sage’s motivation, the story she shared with Victoria at the party detailing the loss of family be the doctors belittled her findings… If those were physicians at a Vought funded hospital, where profits over people may as well be a motto, this might have sparked and fueled an underlying desire to bring the company down. John’s… I mean Homelander’s invitation may have been the opportunity she needed to do so from the inside…

You wonder if Annie and Hughie will potentially have a child down the road? There's only ONE series left, why on earth would any fan want that avenue explored over the main story that has been beaten around the bush over this entire season? Also, a fight scene involving A-Train has been sorely missed from the entire series so far, and The Deep is suprisingly strong. Having A-Train die from Homelander in a cold calculated fashion would be a waste of a great action scene.

This is one of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen. Just wow. Perfect. This season has been really impressive to me. A-Train was amazing, Deep and Noir were HILARIOUS with their “bro” moments, having Frenchie back was great, Kimiko was great as usual but that final scene with Starlight really shocked tf outta me. I’d say Hughie had the least to do this episode.

The new shapeshifter also knew Starlights safe combo, so there's some potential there that when she touches someone she gets info from them, not just the ability to be ome them. Based on that, it's possible Daphne is also the shapeshifter.

Between doctors not listening to her to save her grandmother to the Teenage kicks kicking her out because "she didn't know when to close her mouth". Yes she has an ego, but she always been in positions where people with larger egos could dismiss her because she knows more than them. The Vought mole theory is a banger. The show also made a point of asking Simon pegs character the last thing he remembered. Could be that Vought orchestrated the stroke and so introduced a window for the moles introduction hints why they made a point of this (similar to the quick frame of firecrackers meds being a tease for the milk thing) Also makes sense of the fact Hughie's mum knowing how to use Compound V

My second theory: Earlier in the season, we saw vials of compound V already missing from Homelander's drawer before A-Train swiped one. Ashley was also already present. I suspect Maeve will return in the finale, having regained her powers from the V Ashley provided her. They have conspired a plan, which is why Ashley refused to leave with A-Train.

It was so fun to see the Christmas setting in this episode, as my country (trinidad and tobago 🇹🇹), does "Christmas in July" where we do a mini celebration of our usual traditions (parang music, decorations, excessive cleaning and de-cluttering, massive sales at home and furniture stores, cooking Christmas food , etc). It's held on the last Friday of July for a few years now. It felt like the boys were prepping with us 😊

Accepting your theory, what would be the reason the shapeshifter would use the V on his Dad? I can't think of one, unless it was to make sure the V couldn't be used later by the Boys. But it could just be disposed of otherwise without suspicion of her, so using it on him doesn't track for me.

Predictions for next week: Since the episode is called assassination run I think there will be a two way assassination attempt. A-train will be given the virus injection to assassinate Homelander. Meanwhile Shapeshifter starlight will be doing her own assassination on the president. A-train and Homelander will get into a fight. I think A-train will nearly have his chance to take out Homelander with the virus. But I believe just before he gets the chance to defeat Homelander, he’ll find out about shapeshifter starlight’s assassination attempt. I believe he will then prevent the assassination by injecting the shapeshifter with the virus. I think MM will have something to do with the reason he makes this choice though. After A-train prevents the assassination I believe Homelander will laser him down. This will probably be in-front of an audience who have just witnessed A-train save the president only to be murdered by Homelander. This will either cause a civil war or cause Homelander to go scorched earth dictatorial with nothing to loose ready for season 5. I think they’ll do a repeat of the Maeve thing where they want to give the A-train a meaningful sacrifice without actually killing Homelander. Otherwise I think MM is in danger this next episode the family stuff seems very foreshadowing. He’ll either get a happy ending due to A-train’s sacrifice or die this episode. I think they’ve been building the A-train MM relationship up and something will come out of that. Also I think Butcher might do what he did to Ezekiel to a few people in that pub he collapsed in.
