Reminds me of the killer on an episode of Columbo who had a bottle in large letters labelled 'deadly poison.'. The moment of melodrama, did not put me off the show, just made me laugh.

Whoever thought of a "brain depository" was a genius. Hilarious and it probably saved money--they didn't have to do another elaborate "digging up" scene.

It was only after seeing this movie that I came across the writings of Hans Delbruck. His work is truly fascinating. it was years before I saw the movie again and made the connection.

Fact: The brain jar named “Charles Opie - Missionary” is my great uncle, who is responsible for the production design for Young Frankenstein and painted the establishing shot of the castle. You’ll find it either at 1:07 or 1:23 for a closer look.

My all time favorite comedy! Overflowing with side splitting slapstick, quotable lines and hilariously memorable scenes, one after another. I saw it 2-3 times on release at 14-15. I remember it like yesterday. I can just recall scenes like this and lol . Brilliant.

The funniest part of this scene is opening the door from the inside WITHOUT having a key in the lock on the inside! Now that's Genius!

I love the unmentioned joke that it's a depository. That apparently there's somewhere people can drop off a used brain or one they don't want anymore and it's just there for their convenience.

at 0.28 Must be one of the funniest scenes in film history. I seen this film as a young boy, When "Igor" opens the letterbox and the eyes appear I genuinely peed myself laughing. How in G_D's Name they managed to film this is incredible, Marty Feldman's face is hysterically funny.

Sad to say, one of my husband's coworkers forgets to bring paper/pad to a job site and writes things on his hand. Drives my husband nuts, the lack of professionalism. Sometimes this person hands others scraps of paper, with information. I think Igor has a better excuse.....
