I've been watching this channel for several years, and loved it since I lived in Boulder and thought it was so cool to have a local car channel. But these recent Nissan ads are the most egregious thing I've seen from an automotive channel; I've never seen a channel not disclose the relationship with a manufacturer, let alone run a whole corporate ad in the middle of a review for a different brand.

Honda in my eyes will forever have my gratitude as the 2009 Honda Accord I owned not only made it to 260k miles , sadly driving home on the hwy 2 months ago a 12 point big buck came out of nowhere and I hit it at 75mph that car completely saved not only my body but also my life. I walked away with zero injuries. Air bag deployed all the crumble zones in the front of the car worked and absorbed the entire impact of the crash. Not one single window smashed or broke. I will forever look at Honda as a life saver and a future buy when I'm in the market for a vehicle.

I wonder if this is the same hybrid system as the new Civic. What I mean is there would be no gearbox and the car would run on electric motors 99% of the time, while the engine is used to recharge the batteries. I know it sounds complicated, but it's also clever.

@Phillip Banes - In comparisons to Honda vehicles per class, their bland interior has kept me from buying them. A driver spends 90% of their time inside the car, it's not a place to cut costs.

Nice video as always. Looks nice. I find it interesting that to me, Honda is taking styling cues from Mazda. I think both the refreshed Honda CRV and the Mazda CX-5 have , as well as this newly designed Honda Accord and the Mazda 6 have many styling cues that are reminiscent of the other. It’s not a bad thing. It’s interesting. I have liked Mazda for years. I’ve always thought they didn’t get the credit they deserve. Nice to see Mazda doing well. As for Honda, I think this accord does look nice inside and out. Great job everyone.

Great preview. I've been waiting to see the new design for quite some time and this new model looks great inside and out. However, I've owned a 1998 and 2003 Accords and currently own a 2016 Accord, all with the V-6. I would have loved to see this with the 2.0T because I like some power in my car. Unfortunately, without the 2.0T engine I'll likely have to find my next ride with a new brand.

@@zeus5544332211 Thanks for the input Kevin. I'll certainly give the new Accord hybrid a try as my 3 previous Accords have been great all around reliable performers. And I'm sure the hybrid will have a bit of get up & go but I really doubt it'll come close to the V-6 I have now or the current gen 2.0T. My Accords have really been a bit of a compromise for me as is since I previously owned a 240Z, Rx-7 and Rx-7 Turbo, so you can see I do like some zip in my cars. The Accords were more practical, handle pretty well and still have some oompf with the V-6 engines.

I was a kid but in 1976 we were celebrating the Bicentennial. Everything on TV had the theme of our 200 anniversary as a nation. Think how heavy TV used to take the Olympics but on every stinking channel and TV show. “The Bicentennial Minute”was where they would take a break from the show and school us on our independence. People graduating are often had a red white and blue tassel on their graduation cap. Red, white and blue was everywhere.

I owned the honda clarity for some time and I have to say that I much prefer the gear selector on that car FAR over the lever selector found in increasingly less vehicles. Worth diving into, but the TL;DR is the button placement on the clarity gear selector is very intuitive and requires no looking to know which gear/mode you've selected, and has the added benefit of being unobstrusive

The car looks clean and all, I love the rear, but the front is literally a mustang with some angular tweaks done. The 2023 Civic front looks more like an Accord than the new Accord does. small gripe aside, less angles means more here, and makes the car look all the more handsome, too many edges makes the car too....edgy(pun intended)(if one can count it as a pun lol), So I'm glad Honda went that direction in design.

Love my 2020 Ridgeline (they fixed the missing volume knob in 2021) I have had to unexpectedly do a lot of 180-mile roundtrips for doctor visits and fuel economy could be better (please a hybrid?). But it is such a comfortable highway cruiser. I had 2014 and then 2017 Accord Coupes both were great but the Ridgeline is awesome. But maybe this Accord Hybrid will be the best of them all? It certainly looks sharp and in typical Honda fashion, the interior is very usable and uncluttered.
