@@suvsteve JJRC's older Willy's jeep, the JJRC Q65 is fully proportional but performs moderately worse than this, this is definitely a set up. It suffers on torque and slightly slower than this. I'm glad they improve it, JJRCs actually have models that are now worth spending money to.

I am liking the C8815. I found disconnecting the link to the steering wheel helped the turning a little. That and checking the steering horn is centred. I think in the future a new steering servo might help might try it one day

@@CraigStevenson1 Cool good to know thank you 😊 any idea on the skipping propshaft drive cup ?
@CraigStevenson1Ай бұрын
@@suvsteve not had the issue but agree the axle was backwards. I was surprised as when you look at the unboxing vid it seems to be the right way. It depends on if it's damaged the shaft if it has I think all you could do is swap it out
@suvsteveАй бұрын
@@CraigStevenson1 when I unboxed it the axle was the right way around but as I had an issue with one wheels spinning almost freely and the axle was binding and had the skipping issues with the tourqe twist I removed the axle to investigate. and I also get asked almost daily how do you correct axles that are turning the wrong way. So I thought I'd post the video so people can see how to simply correct the issue. And I'm also often asked what I mean by flipping the axle. 😊😊 But I think I have it sorted now so I'll post another video soon ☺️

I like the look, very nice. I like the low-speed control, I like that the steering wheel is connected to the wheels.... In short, I like this car but I can't believe there is still the problem of the ability to turn properly. The dampers can be fixed but what about the steering ratio? One of the most important features (the turning radius) is always forgotten. I honestly don't understand why they keep NOT fixing this problem. I'd like to buy it, but it doesn't turn at all, so can I use it properly? The obvious answer is no, unfortunately.

Yeah totally agree. I've used on a trail like in this video 👇🏻 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hX6xaIdsZ9Rnj68si=YIs1MntvfOhAippx And actually it wasn't to bad yes I had to do a couple of 2 - 3 point turns to get around sharp corners but it wasn't a deal breaker and was actually quite nice to drive . Apparently if the steering wheel is disconnected it turns a little better But the biggest limit I can see is the wheels fouling the leaf springs but if they are spaced out a little I would think that would help too . But for the price it's worth buying and fettling with it I think 😊

@@suvsteve Oh ok, good to know man. For the price, yes, I agree with you, of course. Speaking generally, I can't believe that most brands still make this mistake or, in other words, haven't yet solved the problem on their products. I mean, I suppose it is something that, once solved, has no cost for the final industrial production. The only cost, minimal, will be related to a better design of that piece. Once it is better designed, they will simply apply it to all their vehicles, regardless of scale. This is not polemical, I just don't understand how such an important feature can be left out. If you will find a definitive solution to the steering problem, even through minor modifications, please let the community know with a nice explanatory video. Thanks for your reply mate, see you in the next video ;)

Super detailed little thing, but that steering angle wont do 😅

Yeah it is a little lacking 😅 But at least we can get some good practice for our 5 - 7 point turn's 😂 I can't wait to get into it a bit more a get some trail footage 😊
