Sorry to say. These are really cheap feeling. The Target light, and start stop, ect feel like my kids toys. The plastic base, and feet are a joke. `Iv had these.` Reloop Rp7000mk2, are far better, quality. half the price. in my humble opinion...I do own x 4..sl12,10 mk 2`s. 30 years. These wont last 5.

I really like those reloop, I almost got mine back a few weeks ago. ( The dude was selling them higher than the price I sold him, ahaha ) yes they do not feel that robust when comparing to those models, but I stand by when I say they are amazing to play. And has a collector model the red is just extra spicy. I recently got a technics dmc mixer ( black and red ) the set up looks 🔥 thanks for your comment. Maybe in 5years I will do another video on how they are rolling :) bigup!

I also bought the red deck. I have to say the build quality does bother me a little. It does look and feel somewhat more frail, compared to my 12010 M3Ds, which are built like tanks, and still holding up nicely, after 20 years. Still a nice deck, though, and will take centre stage in my home.

I love the various colours these came in, glad they've been popular too... my set-up suits black too much for being adventurous. Mixing is lovely on the MK7s though, I know they get flack for build quality, I really get why they didn't put them in the same shell as the 1210GR and there would be no complaints then. They defo have a different pitch to the GRs which feel different to mix on, I own GRs and MK2s and pretty much just use the GRs, would use these over MK2s if I had these instead too (but I don't have the nostalgic history with MK2s that a lot of others have as I owned vestax decks for the 15 years before I moved to Technics)

I don't understand why but brand new 1200's to use the phase system on them, I love using DVS for that real vinyl feel, I love putting the needle on the record like we did back in the mid 1980's Just curious that's all

I do like to use needles, but I hate the wobbling, the jumping, the dust. I still use them when I need. But between paying 300e for a pair of new needles, I thought in giving it a try with Phase now. I understand your point, is legit but have you tried Phase? Thanks for the input 👊🏼

Nice decks. Use to dj and dabble in pirate radio, as far back as 30 years ago. Too old and slow for all that now, but my 1200s were cherished. Just bought a single mk7 now, just for listening to my vinyl. Makes me laugh everyone kicking off about the price. In the UK back then they were not cheap, and there was more of a market. No CDJs, no controllers etc. Take that into account and relative inflation, I don't see the argument re price to be honest 😅 Great vid 👍

yes in 2019, i tried with service mode but it didn't work. The GRs are more reliable and carefully built but the digitally controlled pitch screwed it up. I advise you to try the GR and make a comparison with the mk7 or M7L. Thanks for for the reply

Oi, todo bem? I am not Portuguese, but I love Portugal and Portuguese people (which I lived with during part of my studies), so I learned a bit of your language on my own. Anyhow, this is to ask for a question I cannot answer myself. I have two MK2 and recently bought a Pioneer PLX 1000. This latter is really very good and robust, but when I made a test using RPM app (on Android) I found that the WOW & flutter (basically, the average deviation of the speed around its sample mean level) is as much a twice that on an old MK2. Some people on the web claim that PLX does not match the beat for long. Now my questions are: 1) Do you have experienced comparing any Technics with a PLX 1000 and, if so, what’s your feedback? 2) Can you make a sample test using RPM app on your MK7 to assess the effective WOW & flutter on your turntables (and compare it with the theoretical 0.025 figure they claim)? Clearly, if you have no time to devote to this, no problem on my sight. Atè logo!
@IamDjCorrect
@IamDjCorrect Жыл бұрын
I honestly have no idea. I use a lot of the plx 1000 on club setup and I have no problems with them on my style of dj. I play urban music mostly and I do not have the need to mix tracks for 4 or 5min. These so far are the ones I felt they lock best the pitch. But I will certantly take this in consideration on my next review on them. Thanks, that is a great question. Obrigado 👊🏼

I used to be into DJing, but nowadays I'm only playing records from time to time. I've got a white M7L and it's nice. The cueing lever could be better damped, but that's not an issue to DJs. They're lighter than the original 1200s - probably good enough for bedroom DJ, but idk if this is solid enough for club use... I also own a SL-1200G, which is on a whole other level... while the original 1200s were built like a tank, the 1200G is built like a tank destroyer. It's the alter ego of the 1200MK7.
