This comes from a DVD series called "Later with Jools Holland", there are a lot of another singers and groups filmed in this show and the sound is pretty good. You can get them from Amazon or another CD store. They are quite worthy.

Brilliant song! The lead singers haircut is uncannily like mine too! I bought the album because of this song when I first heard it on the radio and was impressed with all the other tracks too. So many albums are bought because of one good single only for disappointment to prevail, but not in this case. The Bravery are class. Funny that I never saw them until on here, so was amazed to see my haircut, albeit 8 years on!

I saw these guys play at the Cockpit in Leeds when they were just becoming popular. Chatted to the guitarist and drummer after the gig and asked them if any British bands had influenced them. They said they were massive fans of Kasabian. Good taste in British music, clearly. ❤️
@TheMusicalElitist7 ай бұрын
Ah yes Kasabian, a poor man’s Primal Scream with the domestic abuser for a lead singer. Yes certainly great taste…🙄

Good live performance this. The drummer amuses me. He constantly looks like he's trying to summon up enough energy to play.

I wonder what the band policy is on member drunkenness? Who gets to stay sober and who doesn't. Do they alternate?
@PKFlashBeta4 жыл бұрын
I've been binge watching the band's live performances and I'm pretty sure that their lead guitarist Michael never got drunk on stage. This performance appears to be before the lead singer Sam's alcohol habit got really bad, because if you listen to stuff like the AOL sessions (I believe they happened a year later), he's blatantly wasted in that performance, and you can tell when the idiosyncrasies of his singing get really exaggerated during this song. They're not so pronounced here, so he may have been drinking, just not too much. With Mike, the bassist, I don't think there's a way of knowing, because his behavior was pretty erratic in live performances in ways that aren't easy to determine, whether or not he was sober.

excellent band... a great time early and until the end of the 2000's... Bands like The Bravery,The Strokes,The Sunshine Underground,Radio Dept,The Stills,Travis,Spinto Band,Arcade Fire,The Killers,yeah yeah Yeahs.... Now everything changed.... the "popular" GARBAGE is today's thing...."groups" that have no lyrical content or quality are "idolized" without even being professional musicians... because they are "amateurs" and horrible.... Although you can still find good underground bands on Bandcamp...Like this band: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIPZZKhjYqmIY6ssi=T48eLZzWHhri_-eS

A very good song .... what a shame the band mostly look like soap opera rejects with eyeliner applied by their full time makeup artist team ... the look is far too affected, contrived etc... to be genuine, no? p.s. 'Later with Jools Holland - Even Louder' is a DVD well worth buying, as are the 'Later with Jools Holland - 10 Years Later' and 'LwJH - first 15 Years' DVDs, but the 'Later with Jools Holland - Cool Britannia 1 & 2' DVDs are the worst ever.

They definitely had too much work on their appearance. The drawn on knuckle slogans? Cringeworthy. I do like the performance though. Even if the singer is only 6/10.
