This is a great story AKA-ART, thanks for sharing it. I have studied WW1 extensively at both A Level and Degree level but never heard this story before. It's no surprise that Jacka was underappreciated by his superiors considering how detached and incompetent the Allied military command was during the conflict.

I’m really enjoying this series, please keep them coming. I’d say they likely didn’t add actual hero’s to this game because they’d be forced to recognize some German and Austrian heroes as well. We all know that’s a taboo subject.

Well it's not like people from Germany and Austria play this game is it?! Remember, this isn't WWII and not as clear cut as to who the "good/bad" guys are. I'm sure we can all appreciate the heroism of the men that fought on all sides when their own and their comrades lives were at stake.
