Dro realized that his friend would not be laughing at his pain, and that everyone was actually still laughing at the joke. Which is prob why he apologized 🤔 When you have conflict, it is important to reflect in the moment and know a person by their character b/c it’s so easy to misconstrue things. I respect Dro for taking accountability for his actions. And I’m glad he didn’t allow a simple misunderstanding ruin his friendship.

When I first saw this man’s smile, the man in the back and how he put his head down to laugh, I recognized it immediately. I knew he was laughing at something in his own head. Lowering his head is because he’s ashamed for laughing at what THEY think he’s laughing about. There are only a few of us. A lot of us have gotten killed along the way, RIP. My grandma used to be concerned I would be one of them. It’s happened to me all my life, as far back as I can remember. At Dr. appointments, restaurants, it doesn’t matter. The best one though, was at my last WIC appointment of my 1st child. Years later, when this very child & her brother were teens they came back from a great auntie’s house to inform me she put them out in the rain(carport). They wanted to see if I’d get angry before they let me in on it but I already knew, “Y’all were laughing and couldn’t stop, weren’t you?” They looked at me like, how’d you know? There’s only one reason old people put young people out and from my firsthand knowledge and experience, it was unstoppable, uncontrollable laughter. That last WIC appointment I mentioned? EVERY pregnant woman in there ended up laughing, and the more we looked around at terrified husbands and partners and the look of fear on the face of our instructor, the harder we all laughed. At the end of our last session, our instructor asked if we had any questions. To this, my husband’s hand shot up! I’m totally baffled as to what he’s going to say but I’m interested. Look at my man, asking questions! Then came, “Can’t you laugh so hard, you can hurt the baby?” Oh, he’d just been waiting to ask this question since we got there due to the fact I’d had another of “ those laughing fits” before we left the house for the WIC appointment. Y’all them PBJ sandwiches used to have me literally rolling in the floor from one side of the room to the other, howling!!! Screaming for help, ‘cause my sides would be bursting in stitches. This question started my shoulders to move up and down because I started remembering the PBJ as well, and the look on his face. Just as the instructor was saying she’d never heard of anyone laughing that hard, I started to chuckle. At this point she’s saying she thinks laughter would be good for the baby. To which, my husband informs her he wasn’t talking about ha ha laughing but what I described to you after the PBJ’s. At this point I went from chuckling to snorting to full blown cackle in mere seconds. Then, one or two of the women, then a few more, then all of us were in there cackling and howling! 🤣🤣🤣🤣, I’m dying right now remembering it! 😂😂😂. She dismissed us immediately and she got the crap up outta there. She was not being held responsible for no preterm births! The old folks always said 2 things was catching, laughing and pregnancy. The combination is a work of God! I’m laughing, I don’t care! Im not killing myself holding that in. As a child, I was put out of rooms, houses and classes. I’ve had to run out of church, court, kids programs, got my butt beat for it, one time,my mama ended up laughing with the switch in her hand. And if you can’t be like all those other pregnant women and just laugh with me, even if you don’t know what I’m laughing about, then as we used to say, back in the day, foget chu den! Laugh people, every time you get the chance, heartily and hard! It cleanses the soul, it adds joy and peace back into a weary spirit. Laugh to keep from crying! Laugh when someone disrespects you because they just don’t know what you could do. They keep their life and you keep yours, I’ll definitely celebrate that with a robust round of laughter. May God bless everyone, even those who don’t believe, I pray for your unbelief.
