Well yes! I think remaking this film is by no means a bad idea I think that goes without saying. However what I would like to see is maybe not not a remake but a continuation TV series. Different actors but same characters taking place on that Monday after that Saturday detention and do a possible drama series that could last maybe three or four seasons maybe five seasons. To see where we think their lives have gone after that

I love your analysis about Claire. I think at the end of the day, Claire is content about who she is and what her life is like. She's not really like Andrew, Alison, and Bryan, who don't really like themselves for a variety of reasons. She had her eyes opened up a bit but Claire doesn't really go on a "journey" like they do. I think that's why she's drawn to Bender, because ultimately Bender doesn't see any need to change himself either and he's confident as well.

So this is what I think may have happened. In a deleted scene, Allison and Andrew break into a teacher's locker while getting the drinks for lunch and Allison steals a Prince record (same one she is reading when John throws a can of Coke to her and she catches during the lunch scene). On Monday, that teacher will see that someone broke into their locker. Together with Principal Vernon, they would work out that Allison and Andrew were responsible and may be forced to return for detention with Bender on the next Saturday. The rest of this theory is just wishful speculation but I imagine that Brian and Claire would find out that the three of them are returning for detention and try to get themselves in trouble for the next detention to join them. After all, Brian is no longer the 'A' student so he does not have a lot to lose if he gets in trouble again and it would not really affect Claire's social status (maybe moreso it would bolster her more). But if the five of them reunited on the next Saturday, I'd guess they would do it in a classroom and Vernon would sit at the desk the whole time to keep a closer eye on them all. So that next Saturday would be a lot less enjoyable for them all.

From what we know it seems Brian, Allison, and Bender would definitely stay friends. Andrew is more open about his feelings for Allison than perhaps Claire and Bender are. I always pictured everyone except Claire remained friends.

After I saw the film in sixth grade, I too speculated and I remember thinking that I thought Clair and John may have had a relationship after but not in a happily ever after way. I feel like they didn't talk together at school and mainly just spent time maybe strolling thrpugh the mall or watching the sunset on a beach. I don't think it evolved into marriage or anything, but I don't think they were over and done at the end. I agree 100% about John and Brian but I also feel like Brian could be a close family friend of Andrew and Allison. I agree about those two ending up together because I felt they had a good connection and I think you're absolutely right when you say they "completed" each other. Theories about The Apartment would be cool because I'm curious what you think of Mr. Baxter's job situation and if/if not he marries Ms. Kubelick.

(My english isn't good, sorry) My theory is that on monday, Claire and Bender crossed glances but nobody talked to the other, because both were with their friends, but later, maybe in a private place (like idk, the bathroom or and empty room) they talked and maybe kiss or something and decide let this thing between they in secret. Andrew probably salutes Allison (Allison maybe has her new style of clothes and make-up) and his friends asked about her like she was a new student, nobody recognizes her. He probably tells them the truth, that he met her in detention and is dating her or something like that. But I think he can't talks to Brian (because he's a dork, his friends know that) and maybe he avoid him, then Brian tells that to Allison (is pretty obvious that Allison and Brian became friends forever) and maybe Allison confronts Andrew about this, so he apologized to Brian and the three become more united. After, maybe the five socialize in an special event like a party, a dance or something. I'm very agree with your theory about Brian and Bender, that probably happened.

I liked that you said that Brian and Bender had the best Chemistry (which is True) but I always had a theory: They both join the Military together. 2 main types that normally join the Military are people like Bender, who are abused, Comes from Working Class to Dirt Poor families, Boderline Criminal Type, and who have few options after High School. And types like Brian who are highly intelligent but has no direction and who might have lived a sheltered Home life. I can see after High School Bender just wanting to get away from Chicago and his Dad, and Brian wanting to toughen up and escape Conformity and a Sheltered Upbringing. They both join the Marines and do Boot Camp Together in Parris Island. Brian has A Career in Military Goverment as a decorated General while Bender does his 4 year Commitment and goes back to Shermer, Ill and becomes a Plumber Claire Sadly Becomes a Carbon Copy of her parents. Likely has a Couple of kids and gets divorced. Doing petty things to her ex, and vice versa, like how it was done to her through her parents. She gets a good job through her dad or other relative and becomes a "Karen" in Suburban Chicago. Andrew and Allison ends up together and gets Married. Andrew gets his Wish and breaks his leg in a Wrestling Match the following week, Which ends up costing him his Scholarship to Ohio State. While he is sad that his Athletic Career is over, he's hapoy that he can finally let it go. After High School he ends up a Police Officer who works in his off time w/ At Risk Youth on the Chicago Southside in his Spare time. Allison actually is the only one in the Breakfast Club group that actually ends up going to College and ends up being a Schoolteacher. Also working with At Risk to Special need kids. They live their life together where they have Kids and Grandkids in the future and end up moving to South Florida to Retire The Janitor still to this day works at that School

Am I the only one who thinks they would all stay friends the next day of school? I feel like the point of the movie is them learning how ridiculous school is and how it makes people gather in their little groups and judge each other when they're all really just confused teenagers. I'm not saying their relationships would last forever but the day spent together definetly changed them.

I think bryan would be friends with allison, who is dating andrew, who is friends with Clair, who is dating bender. So yea, while they might not consider each one their friend, I think just out of who knows who, they'd still all be hanging out sometimes

I know this is a old video. But I have a theory about the principle. He was behind all these kids getting together and wanted them to bond. Almost a teaching moment. Ever wonder why they didn't get caught playing loud music and breaking things in the library? I mean sure he was able to hear that right? Why didn't he come in and stop them? He probably wanted them to bond together. It was a teaching moment. I mean that is just one theory.

There's a movie came out in 1998 called The Faculty directed by Robert Rodriguez .. the 5 main characters in this film are too similar to the main 5 in The Breakfast Club and the relationships among them are similar to the breakfast club too I don't know but for me The Faculty is an unofficial sequel to the breakfast club and for some reason I always watch them back to back
