In my opinion this is the perfect application of quartz and resin (plastic). It's as close as your going to get to a true sports watch from any luxury watchmaker. As for the 10th of a second hand, very useful if you are a coach timing track intervals or pool sessions. And athletes and coaches are most certainly among Breitling's target audience for this watch. Ditch the compass bezel for a tachymeter tho

The caseback screws used to be the standard flat head shape but were changed out to the 5 star shape due to "Reese's Law" in the USA. It's a change that's implemented to all button battery watches for Breitling.

This is kinda cool, but what I really want from breitling is a 1:1 reissue of the earlier Aerospace models. The new ones are too big and bulky, but the early titanium ones are so good looking. Only problem is that the original ones are supposedly service nightmares once they break. Only watch I really really miss after selling was my Breitling F56062.

I have to be honest; I didn’t care for Breitling, especially the Quartz models, until I tried on B-1. I was completely wrong about it & it has so much features that I was blown away by it! Though on paper it’s 16.5mm thick was scary but most of it were the screw down case back & when worn, I can only noticed the 11mm exposure which works perfectly for its 43mm size. I’m a Breitling fan now! ❤

I really wanted to like the watch(and I do like the aesthetics), but I hate how unthought out it is. The watch is called ENDURANCE and aimed at endurance athletes, and yet the chronograph only times up to 30 minutes. 30 minutes is laughably short amount of time for most endurance activity. Breitling could have addressed this by adding 12 hour bezel. Used with the hour hand and in combination with the chronograph, the watch could then track up to 12 hours which is plenty for most endurance events. It's such an easy answer if the designers gave about 30 minutes of thought into what they were actually making. But they went for a compass bezel that has no value to most endurance event, and isn't accurate enough to be useful to the few endurance event that does use a compass.

Yes, it's accurate but I hate everything about it. If I wanted super accuracy, guess what? I'd buy a smartwatch or just check my phone. I'm warming up to quartz watches but this plastic thing just spat in my face and I suddenly remember why I hate quartz. The movement is cheap to make, it's using a battery and quartz crystal and the ticking instead of sweeping is incredibly annoying. Ugh, I know it's unreasonable but I hate it. I like automatics because I love that it's just using gears to tell the time. It's true jewelry to me. If I had a job that requires an accurate watch I wouldn't get this, I'd just get a smartwatch. If I'm going to cheat I'd want to do it right.

Can they just change the bezel to count up or count down timer. It at least makes the watch more usable instead of being waste of space which would be not used like 99% of wearer And at that price, i find this to be madness. Sinn ux is much more better buy when buying new.
@Geeskgonegangsta10 күн бұрын
No I am not ok with that. Just say no to quartz for 3k. Love your channel though.
@kresimirpleic9 күн бұрын
People vastly overestimate what goes into making a mechanical movement. The vast majority of them are just flying off of mass production lines. If you want watchmaking and craftsmanship, be prepared to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a 3 hand watch. I can think of only a handful of high horology brands that will sell you a three hander for under 10K. Habring2 (Austria), Kudoke (Germany) and Pequignet (France). Most others are over 10 or 15K but the goldilocks zone for 3 hand watches that can be considered mostly hand made is - tens of thousand of dollars. The difference between this quartz movement that Breitling uses and a modern Omega mechanical movement is only a few hundred dollars. The rest of the value of the watch goes to paying the manufacturing companies some of which are overseas, design, assembly in Switzerland, quality control, third party testing (COSC and METAS), brand name, paying the ADs, world wide customer service logistics, servicing expenses under warranty, worker salaries, management bonuses, taxes, bills, and so on.
