Father Brendan, you are so real, and very funny. Hearing you brings me back to Ireland, to county Clare where I spend a couple of weeks every year, play Irish traditional music and photographing the countryside. I love what you are saying and the way you say it. Thank you. PS I am Catholic and am a Cantor and trying my best to catechize my grandchildren whose parents are not religious but thank God they allow me to take them to Mass. I pray that it sticks because if I die tomorrow, catechism is over. I won't give up on the Church.

I am not Catholic. I am Christian. Your use of the Tabernacle in the Old Testament as an example of your desire to serve in the Mass was beautiful. And your honesty is impressive. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

I hope he's convinced you to ask the question...is the Eucharist really God? Please look. It is and Jesus says so in Matthew chapter 6. Please read the whole chapter and see if he wants you to really consume him. The Jews really consumed the sacrifice or the offering wouldn't be complete. I hope you become Catholic so that you can complete the sacrifice. Praise and worship are separate things. Many blessings. And I hope to see you at the altar!

Hebrews 7 tells us that Jesus introduced a better priesthood and a better covenant. If your church is missing a Tabernacle and the Holy Presence of God there, then know that you're missing something better. Come to Jesus in the one, holy, Catholic, apostolic Church for a better sacrifice, priesthood covenant and enjoy the Real Presence now found not only in Jerusalem but in every Catholic Tabernacle.

Father Brendan, you brought tears to my heart & eyes the most encouraging & inspiring story of a priestly vocation I've ever heard. I'm an old woman & understand the folding of the arms, it made me laugh, I come from such women. May many men answer the call of the Master. Thanks for answering the call! Much love.❤❤❤

Thank you for sharing your Story. We are truly people of the Story. The Story is sacred. My own family, my own people were of the Seanchaí, Servants of the Story. We held in our hearts the story, pain, culture and achievements of the people. Some of us are caught up in and have become, vessels and vassals of the story of Christ and his people. It is wonderfully exhausting. Like Calvary it is bloody beautiful!

How I wish you would put your words in a book. They are painful at times, poetic at others but all good words. I am not Catholic. But I am a Christian and love Jesus. Even I am moved by your wisdom.

Fr. Brendan. Your story is a lot like mine. I studied with the Jesuits in England at Heythrop, and Campion Hall Oxford. Atheist as well, with some unresolved stuff. To cut along story short, I didn't find God or the church, God found ME. It's the only way I can explain it - God found me, and once "found", life could never , ever be the same again.

we need to live on private land as the public schools, the workplaces, the media, the peers, the government, etc etc are a vacuum. we must live, work, be educated & be surrounded by Christ on a daily basis.

What options are there for women anymore? The way you describe the Church is how I feel about it too. But I'm on fire with love for Jesus Christ as well. But nuns have had such a bad image for my whole life.and that option is invisible now.

Sadly, Pope Francis seems to be vilifying the priesthood and wanting to dismantle it in favor of synodal church. Whatever that is?

I appreciate your testimony, Father. But something you said disturbed me to my core. I'm not scandalized by you saying that you were saved by the Church. I am scandalized by you referring to Christ's immaculate bride as a corrupt shabby woman with a cigarette in her mouth. There have always been people within the earthly institution. But caveats must be made clear so that the listener understands the distinction. To hear a reverent priest refer to the Church in such a way.

@kittieconvoy I agree we should not kill the Spirit but let us always speak truth, we also have a duty to correct, at least gently. There are many Church authorised authentic apparition sites that should be promoted, let's alway hold to the sharp sword of Truth.
