From Successful Business Man to Catholic Priest

On tonights FIreside Fr. Luke sits down with Father Marius O'Reilly. It seems like he really had things going for him, great business, loads of money. But something never settled with him and all that. Our Lord and Our Lady would eventually win him over to the Catholic Priesthood.
Fr. Maruis Is currently working zealously in the Diocese of Cork-Ross. He is a massive promotor of the Rosary. He also runs the Totus Tuus magazine.

Thank you for your wonderful testimony! Although I’m American, my heritage is 100% Irish. We were raised by a very strong catholic mom and when she passed in December all 10 of us remaining children said the Rosary on our knees at the wake. We grew up saying the Rosary every night. I can’t explain the energy in the room that night but it was so powerful. All the grandchildren felt it too. I credit her deep and abiding faith carried on to 11 children and 45 grandchildren to the faith she inherited from her parents from Ireland. The Catholic faith is the greatest gift she gave to us. To see what is happening in Ireland is so sad, but priests like you keep it going and bring hope to all!! I hope to get to Ireland someday and it is truly the only dream I have! When Father said that he read St Faustina's diary, my heart skipped a beat...a new ly ordained priest in my parish also said that the diary played a major role in him becoming a priest. Praise Jesus! I have great devotion to the The Divine Mercy...I just finished saying the Chaplet right before seeing this video and before that came home from venerating the relic of St Bernadette after Holy Mass in Metuchen, New Jersey, USA. A rabid anti Catholic Pastor burned the image of Divine Mercy. When he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer , became bedridden and was just waiting to die,the image of Divine Mercy appeared to him and its rays penetrated his entire body and got healed. He is now a Catholic and is a normal person.

Frank, I would recommend that you go on line and see Knock there first. Maybe you have already and attended Holy Mass online. That may satisfy your immediate need before you can actually travel over to Ireland. My abiding memory of Knock apart from the peace, is the rain! I was reminded of a saying from my old Irish people past; Happy the corpse that it rains upon. Not in a morbid way, but I was reminded when I was there in Knock that I would be a corpse one day.

Praise God what a beautiful God incident testimony for me Fr. Marius & Fr. Luke. This Lent, I was graced with valuing the passion of Our Lord, & took the promise of Divine Mercy to heart! As a Legion of Mary member, I worked with my members to promote the promise after Easter. Then, as a secular branch member of the SSCC's St. Damien of Molokai, I attended the memorial mass for St.Damien on 5/10/22, at our Basilica in Honolulu presided by Archbishop Christopher Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio, to the United States. Rev. Pierre was also here to bless the Br. Dutton (St Damiens aide) canonization Committee & had the honor to meet him. & last, my first spiritual director was a CSC priest Fr. Jose Pawlicki & long story short, I became friends with the CSC's & the U of Notre Dame(fighting Irish) & I have friends at the Fr. Peyton Center in Ireland! & last I just wrote commentary on a video regarding St Joseph this morn. So, Fr. Marius, I'm grateful, God came in His Divine Mercy to save you & have you in his divine plan to be treasure to others! Also, will definitely keep Ireland in my prayers! Fr. Jose, told us as a small community, the church would go underground (prophetic)& we would have no church(pre pandemic) & only the community & the rosary. So Amen! The remnant shall keep Ireland alive! I trust our Lord & Lady, & saints will keep you alive also! So may God continue to bless you Fr. Marius, Fr Luke & Ireland! The wind will be at your back! Remember also, the gates of the nether world shall not prevail against it! A wonderful testimony by Fr Marius and a great interview! Thank you for sharing your story and please God this vocation story will inspire many more men to consider a vocation to the priesthood. God talks to us all in the ordinary of the day-day life we lead and Fr Marius's testimony is a great example of how we must be always ready to listen to that 'still small voice' within and how powerful intercessory prayer is. I always have high regards towards Ireland n her people on their steadfastness in the Catholic faith. Hope the young ones are walking the steps of their parents/grandparents/great grandparents. Covid 19 has taught all of us to keep the faith going. I am sure when were put into fear of the contracting/contracted the virus, we would have called out to our Lord& Mother Mary's n all the saint's help. Across the world many churches were literally empty, perhaps the older faithful were the ones attending mass, etc prior to covid. And then covid hit , the world n God decided to close His House n even if we wanted to go in to pray we could not do so becos of lockdown. However, the situation surely would have given us all time to reflect, " is God, Church, worship etc important?" Many of us without God's n our faith would not have survived this pandemic, some lost loved ones n some mental stress n hardship becoz of various restrictions, lockdown n fear. As for me, this pandemic opened my eyes, heart, mind & soul for the need to have God walking beside,behind n infront me. God Bless All
