Just hung out with Anton after the show in Fort Collins, CO last month. He invited us on to the bus to chill, then we invited him over the house to hang out, Truly an authentic, nice, fun and funny human being. We had a great time.

that's fantastic -- I literally stumbled into him as I walked onto the outside desk and he was smoking a. cig, alone, by the door. We talked for about 10 minutes. I don't personally know him -- but I've been studying him as a person father, musician -- and husband, I guess. He is a funny guy who loves to tell stories-- but he can grow dark very fast, He doesnt' take criticism well, that's for sure. So I didn't;t critizine him -- except to say in a mildly shamming funny way: "Are you till smoking those non-filter cigarettes>? I knew he was.....so we talked cigarettes, ANYTHING but asking how the tour is going on getting into the problems I know he's going through. No -- I kept it at cigarettes, -- he's a great bunch of guys,,,

but its' no interesting at all when he cals his Audience CUNTS and slamming the band -- especially drummer -- for the entire tour . He's relapsed back into alcohol. It's awful. and such pity. I hope he'll sober up again. However, he DID not do his best work sober ......just saying...BUt NO BAND AND ART is worth harming yourself or drying for......and musicians do it all the time.

If this interview was posted 11/2023, the unnamed Rolling Stones album that he refers to was likely Hackney Diamonds. Not sure why they put a “Steel Wheels” graphic up there.

Touch of Grey? Uhm..ok, maybe. I can see that, but West LA Fadeaway nah..that's a bad azz groove! Besides, The Grateful Dead is a perfect example of a strong artistic eco-system. I love Anton's work not only in The Massacre but w/ Tess Parks also. I just don't agree with his views and outlook on a lot of issues but I still respect his work. That whole Australia fiasco was just us witnessing a man stretched out way too thin while under the influence. We NEED artist like Anton that are open from time to time to what the universe has to express. His authenticy and experience is irreplaceable. Thanks for sharing this interview!

There was never a "Jonestown" Massacre. It was the JAMEStown Massacre. Brian Jones refers to the Stones early guitarist. Oh well, whatever, nevermind...
@Peapodzilla
@Peapodzilla 6 ай бұрын
The “Jonestown Massacre” occurred on November 18, 1978, when more than 900 members of an American cult called the Peoples Temple died in a mass suicide-murder under the direction of their leader Jim Jones (1931-78). It took place at the so-called Jonestown settlement in the South American nation of Guyana.

Jonestown Massacre. November 18th, 1978. In reference to both Brian Jones and Jim Jones, leader of the Peoples Temple cult and, naturally, founder of “Jonestown” (formally, the Peoples Temple Agricultural Project).
