Love the idea of the muddy tracks with the farmers Land Rover, you have inspired me to have another go at some of my embankments - thank you, looking forward to your next video regards Barry..

Great looking area. I watch many railway modelling videos, and most have very well manicured embankments, unlike the real thing with overgrown bushes and trees obscuring the railway. It's not ideal for a layout, but you have done a nice job with yours.

Hi Graham Excellent video I really love the work you have done on your cutting very inspirational it will make a good place to film your locos, Great looking stone bridge it breaksup the cutting nicely looks like it has always been there you would never think it has been highed up youve blended in the extra stone work really well love the Cameo scene brings it all to life as for going back to re visit the first half of the cutting i find its always best to leave a newly finished area alone and move on to a different project before going back to it with fresh eyes Keep up the great work Happy new year Pete

Normally I scratch build structures like that as off the shelf stuff isn't really to my taste. I'm going to have to keep an eye more open when I'm out at exhibitions, that bridge is a wonderful find that beds into your layout very nicely indeed. The extra height to build it up has gone very nicely, that bit of retaining wall blends rather well. It has to be said, the sparkling clean Coal sector class 58 at the head of an MGR along with that style of bridge really reminds me of spotting Baddesley Colliery back in the late 80s. 58012 was a regular at Baddesley, and as it was also used on Lickey Banking duties at the time it always seemed to be kept cleaner than the rest. It was always odd seeing a freight engine that was cleaner than anything else at Saltley back then, but thats the way it was for a good few years!

Really enjoyed watching you do the Bridge and surrounding Landscape Graham, you never no when to stop wondering if I can do better, should I go back to a previous project and revamp it, but its all looking great, can I suggest a running session with all your latest stock for the next Video, nice to see the Trains run, best wishes, Colin.

Glad you enjoyed the updates Colin. A running session is always one of my favourite things to do as I like trying to challenge my filming skills by trying to bring the layout to life with close ups and such. It also gives me an idea of what needs improving as the camera never lies. So I will see what I can do, but no promises.🙂 Thanks for watching, cheers Graham 👍😊

I love the attention to detail. I am glad the incident on the bridge is being dealt with. There are always people who think they are above the law. But public safety is a priority, and the TMD chaps were right to call the police, with someone breaking into their yard. Is there a link between the tracks in the cutting, so rolling stock can get to the TMD?
@WHP1980s
@WHP1980s Жыл бұрын
Yes there is a link between the cuttings and TMD but it's via a tunnel on the other side of the layout after the station. This then travels in it's own cutting rising up to the TMD level. If you watch my Blue Pullman rail tour you should spot it at some point. Thanks for the interest, Happy modelling Graham 👍🙂

Well Graham. That was well worth the short wait for part 2. The bridge to nowhere and cutting have turned out excellent squire. The storage facility on the bridge is a great idea and the scene on top, gives you something different too. Give yourself a pat on the back for a job done extremely well. The farmer and his dog with the weathered Landy just brings it altogether. I just knew you'd be unable to resist the temptation of getting more HAA Coal Hoppers. You modellers can't help yourselves😂 Stroke of luck getting some as cheap though. Pays to be in the Right place, at the right time. The gap at the bottom, could you not just put a pile of some old rail and sleepers with overgrown grass amongst them. Was a pretty common sight back in the day. Just a suggestion. Lastly, thank you for sharing this video. Really enjoyed it. I wonder whats next🤔

The whole scene along that side now looks super with the cutting effect. A great job Graham. I'm sure it will be tweaked and added to as the evolution continues. That, as you say, is modeling! Some of the newer models being release are incredibly detailed but too fragile. When they're rolling around the layout the super fine details become slightly lost anyway so for me I prefer them to be robust! The weathering is probably more important to create the realism. Thanks for the channel Graham; I really enjoy, appreciate and look forward to each new episode. It gives me the inspiration to crack on with mine! Regards Julian

Good deal on MGR I aim to pay 7- 7.50 on deals. Ebay and Dealer used prices are just chancers now. Some good deals but you have to work to find them now. Move on to another section then the embankment wont bug you. Lol

Some people add paint to the scupmold. Avoids the added step of painting and if it chips you do not see white.
@WHP1980s
@WHP1980s Жыл бұрын
Yep, I have noted that. Never tried it myself but have seen people struggling to colour it due to it being a bright white. Did see Charlie at Chadwick model railway get in a bit of a state doing it. Maybe a very concentrated dark colour might work.🤔 Find just painting it works out fine once you've added all the ground cover regards 👍
