Love the new editing tricks you’re employing here, and of course your usual way of talking to us about these lovely scents. Hope all is well, Eugenius!

Chanel is my home, and basically all my favorites have the Chanelade in there. Ernest Beaux was a genius, but imo Jacques Polge took it to another level. He had a very elegant style to begin with judging by his creations for Ungaro and Tiffany and combined with the Chanelade... Seriously Egoiste is the last thing I want to smell before I pass, it is almost spiritual to me.

For a short period of time when I was in college, my parents owned a house near the railroad tracks and I found the trains going by rather soothing after a while. I think I could wear anything from Chanel. Love the apt.

I just discovered your channel and I am so impressed with your collection, WOW. I love Chanel as well, have been focusing on the classics and I'm now getting into the Les Exclusifs, your collection is incredible! I think I will start with No. 22, and I wondered why yours is so reddish, I hadn't seen it like this in others videos, is it the EDT? I received a sample of Sycamore which I loved. I agree with you with your comparison to Guerlin how Chanel is more mainstream, or accessible. I wish the older Guerlins were still available to explore, like at Chanel. I also like YSL, I like the edginess and spiceness also, like Opium and Elle are just gorgeous too and a nice alter-ego to Chanel. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks!

What a lovely view ! ! .......I am so jealous of your Chanel collection ....maybe one day ! Did you blind buy any of these, I don’t have access to testers no store in Dublin ...if I bought any of the les exclusifs they would be blind buys ....at the price point I am not that brave I wouldn’t know which one to start with ..I own all the regular scent line and all the matching body products and love them all ! ! ...ready for the exclusifs ........I contacted Chanel customer care to explain I had no access to testers here to see if the would send me some exclusifs samples so I could decide...birthday in July ! ...but No they wouldn’t...a bit disappointed in that ....

The first Chanel I purchased was No 22 Voile. I was over the moon, it smelled like heaven! When I ran out, the store said the voile had been discontinued, so I switched to the parfum. Not as great as the Voile but I learned to love it. Eventually I could only buy 22 through the website as it’s an exclusif. If they ever discontinue it I don’t know what I’ll do

Oh are you referring to Tilar's book? I read it a couple of times and then gave it to Charlotte when she was at Chanel. Was just thinking to recommend it to you. Covers a lot of the personal history of Gabrielle and why that Chanel aesthetic embodies a sense of her early life so it's interesting to feel her presence almost 100 years later.

This video was very interesting for me to watch and learn something quite important for me......I have never been a fan of any of the Chanel fragrances.......You spoke of the aldehydes........and finally i realized its exactly THAT ..that i dont like.....I do not care for any fragrances where you get this "fizzy" aspect..its an intrusive part of the line......to me........Im glad i learned that its that aspect which keeps me from enjoying Chanel fragrances.........its not something that i prefer to challenge myself with because its just not my taste...hmmmmmm glad i got the thing identified.......thanks Eugene..........Bob

First of all, you have very welcoming and cozy apartment. Second of all, yes - there’s definitely very very very present Chanelade in all of the fragrances, even in Chance Eau Fraiche that supposed to be one of the lightest fragrances of Chanel.(btw, this fragrance is inauspiciously amazing) . I think the Chanelade consist of aldehydes, , orris/iris , possibly a bit of ylang-ylang, definitely sandalwood and rose+jasmine. I know it looks like almost all the notes of No 5 ,but it’s totally the most prominent in No 5 and in the first of their fragrances. This is where it all started. I like how you described it as “pastels “ - it’s so accurate. You are so right !Like Oil Pastels that have this waxiness about them. I always described it as tangerine peel, but pastels is a much better term for that. I don’t know if you ever mentioned the brand or I just missed it, but Tom Ford has a prominent dna throughout his fragrances .Idk the private blend that well, but those that I smelled had this boozy , patchouli, powdery ,vanilla, spicy thing about them- same as the signature line.Especially this powdery theme appears in most of his fragrances.Have you ever used TF fragrances? I have a secret love about them, but I must admit every time I use TF perfumes people either cough or make weird faces and there’s also something weird about mentioning TF to a fragcomm , idk.Maybe I overthink. Enjoy your day😊✌️Nice video as usual and I can’t wait for what’s more to come from you. Xo
