I was looking into this monitor for a while now, ever since it was announced. And, i do a lot of productivity work. So, knowing the texts are blurry this way, is kinda a deal breaker for me. I do game a lot as well, but, i need the best of both worlds, especially if i am spending this much money.

lower pixel density than this one, and no heatsink on your C2 so it cannot sustain bright images, just auto-dims a scene to protect from burn-in and image retention being bled into the following scene/image.

@@reaper_god1156 Not really, ofc a better gpu will make a difference in smoothness but the difference is a lot smaller than 60-120. Hell, its even smaller than 120 to 165. Using a 48" LGCX currently, couldn;t imagine needing anything brighter but I get it for HDR content especially films you can get more accurate. For me £1100 is just too much for 1440p, I got this 48" 4k for a few hundred less and 4k is much more noticeable upgrade over 1440p for me than 240hz vs 120hz. Plus for watching films the larger screen doubles as a cinema screen. Would love to see some more UW's come in, like a 40" roughly 5120x2160 120Hz would be end game material for myself. Edit also no speakers at that price point when the TV's at the same price have really serviceable ones is pretty insulting.

I’m looking into getting this monitor so you saying with this monitor you should never watch like a twitch steam or a couple episodes of a tv show? I have dual monitor set up so would mostly be gaming on this display. Just need to know if you can’t like watch KZbin videos, twitch etc on this monitor and literally ONLY game on it thank you!

100% mate, £1100 and no warranty? AW34DWF is larger with a lot more immersive format costing £170 less, often on offer for around £800-850 and offers 3 year burn-in warranty.

I don’t think any oled monitor is good for productivity atm. If you’re trying to find a good middleground between gaming and productivity mini led is probably your best bet.

@@atrium12 Yeah Mini LED seems to be the best option. I'm still good with my Aorus 2K monitor (FI27Q-P). I'll probably upgrade a year or two from now. I hope we'll have better OLED or Mini LED monitors by then at a cheaper price.

I've had mine for a week. I'll never go back to IPS, VA. OLED is just too damn good. I had the LG also and the ASUS blows it away. OLED burn in is essentially non existent if you actually take care of your monitor with all it's protections in place. Furthermore, if you get the Monitor at Best Buy / other stores that offer in store warranties. You'll have OLED Protection from Burn in for X amount of years. Worth it.

How drastic is the poor text for you? Im heavily considering this monitor and I need to upgrade (My brother broke my old 1440p IPS), but basically every review highlights this. I'm quite used to clean text so curious how jaring it is for you?

@@Drewww02 If youre used a retina display, you will hate 1440p resolution text. period. its pixelated. no way around it. looks like trash. its 2023. non 4k 240hz monitors that can run 1440p for gaming are outdated trash and the only reason they run the market is because the people allow them to. if everyone stopped buying this garbage and demanded better monitors, theyd have already been here by now.

Definitely Alienware if you want OLED, just for the warranty. Or wait a bit more to see what else comes down the pipeline. 1080p gaming on 3090 is overkill! I have Sony M9 to go with my 3080 and could not be happier.

I have this monitor now and I can say that it is mostly for gaming. If you want it for work or productivity, it doesn't make any sense its not for you. The text issue is not a a big deal, nobody should be sitting that close to a monitor. Speakers on this don't make sense on this even for $1000. If you had the money to spend on this monitor you already have headphones or external speakers. Lets not make it a thing. The monitor is amazing and the oled burn in problem should honestly be considered a feature at this point, It's part of the tech and is not going away. If you want a longer burn warranty, good luck. Better hope you can buy a protection plan, just take care of your stuff.
