IIRC, she was an ambulance driver for a bit in WWII, giving her family and guards heart attacks on a regular basis. She was was barely old enough to drive but she was a ballsy teen and didn't care about bombs falling around her. I vaguely remember reading an article about it and she said she felt foolish sitting in the palace and not helping and she knew she could drive an ambulance.

I love prince Harry and Meghan the most out of all of them. Despite them leaving royal duties. The unwarranted hate and media lies is completely malicious and displays the British people and royal family in a negative way. Prince Harry and Meghan being independent is a true history changer. They are doing what Princess Diana wanted to do for her entire life as a royal. Royalty may not be for everyone but you shouldn't condemn or hate a former royal for choosing a different life. It is sooo exhausting being the object of racism in a predominantly white environment. I speak from experience since I was born in Barbados and grew up in England. I was the only black person in my classes through the age of 18. British casual racism is like none other. !!🥹🥹The worst part is/was that if called out, they’d use the gaslight trick and turn it back on you. I can’t imagine being in Meghan’s role and dealing with overt and written, public racism daily. Then expected to smile and look happy 😏😏😏

We focus on characters like John Wayne style independence. The Royal family is kind of just the British version of the founding fathers at this point. More people know mythology about the founding fathers than the realities.

Well, if the queen hadn't interfered, Charles would have married the woman he loved the first time. He and Camilla have a very long history together. One thing people don’t do is compare the British press on Kate and Meghan BEFORE their wedding. Kate had it so much worse. Meghan might say the racism she experienced is worst but Kate had her picture in very revealing cloths during her freshman year all over the British tabloid without her consent. She’s been called too many misogynistic insults to count and it only stopped when she was pregnant with the baby that is next in throne. Racism is bad but so is misogyny and the fact that Meghan dares to say what Kate has been through is nothing compared to her experience, Meghan has 0 empathy on anyone.
