Make sure you get lots of Grease into them Pins on the Ram because if they seize up they can put a lot of pressure onto the eyes of the RAM and don't forget about the Pins at the back like the one Kenny was hitting in with the Hammer. Grease Grease and More Grease every week because it will save you a lot of Down time and Money.

Being a qualified slinger, working with big cranes, it was painful watching Chris and Kenny with the ram. I personally would have placed a beam across the two doors and attached a chain block or a little ratchet chain pull so i had control and not using the grab.

We use 3 chain blocks and a digital spirit level when we put roller coasters together. Get the right angle easily, one on centre rear end 2 on the other end where it's joining to. Tweek it and straight in. Simples 😊

Agree, but maybe better to cut some slits in the floor plate for debris to fall through, slits or slots may support the block better than a hole 👍🏼

Just watching the video , why not make a plate shield and wiper to stop rubbish getting behind the block , it would also keep the block square and stop the end of the ram flexing and snapping off the eye, the hole has length because of the ram cylinder , a bit of carpet tile would make a decent wiper basically to keep the junk off the ram chrome as getting a new ram would be horribly expensive

More info.. that yellow strap/ strop that Kenny used on the ram is good for 3 tonnes. You can tell by the black lines on them. One black line.. one tonne and so on.
