EDIT 3: After a brief window of internet Thursday night, AT&T now informs us their vaunted "high speed" fibre optic internet will now be out until SATURDAY MORNING. Assuming I haven't switched providers before then, I'll try this again on Saturday afternoon.
EDIT 2: Still no internet, have to cancel the stream today. I'll try to do one tomorrow.
EDIT: Some idiot cut through the fibre optic internet cables in my neighborhood, so I have to postpone the stream until they get the internet back up and running. I'm hoping to have connection again in a few hours (trying for 7pm CST).

Congrats on the alcohol decision. That definitely takes willpower, or should I say resolve? I’m going to be playing TBE primarily solo at first so have been thinking about how I could manage the god-bound unknown piety score while maintaining some uncertainty about it, but maybe the solo rules will have something different proposed. Once I get a feel for the game I may try to switch my son and his friend over from the D&D 5e campaign I’m running them through. Building the “witches” scenario into Season 1 and using those PCs as the pre-gens: *shakes fist in the air while screaming “Devall!!!”* I guess I need to update my pledge to get those minis now! :)

Love your response to people who want to change the fundamentals of a game into something it's not. Just play a different game, people! There are hundreds of them. It's like my friend who tried to play Warhammer Fantasy in D&D instead of playing... the Warhammer Fantasy TTRPG!

Unfortunately I missed the live Q&A, but have you managed to find a solution for the wealth system Trevor? I personally like what Call of Cthulhu 7th edition does. I don’t know if you would consider something similar?It’s kind of abstract but at the same time detailed enough for players to enjoy some bartering at the grand bazaar😀

(I originally posted this comment on the combat video) I'm really interested in this system, and once I saw the mass combat supplement unlocked as a stretch goal I'm nearly sold. But just wanted to ask, is there any more info on how the mass battle supplement works? Anything from the Q/A or videos upcoming on the subject? Thank you.

I know you had mentioned that, similar to Harn, you will cap the year historically. So in essence you leave the time for players/GMs to progress time within their own game. However, are you basing the cap at the end of the events historically of season 4?

Well, I’m leaning in that direction; I haven’t fully committed to it. Still working out the details. As for the end of season 4, we haven’t got there yet, so I can’t answer that! :)

@@YannMiollan I'm not sure I am understanding correctly. Are you saying that this shouldn't be mentioned here and only on the Discord? I brought it up after seeing the joke about "can I play my 5e character?" and thought that perhaps some people would actually want to import their character but need guidelines on how to do so. I'm not sure why it couldn't be mentioned here.

@@jcraigwilliams70 oh I just meant instead of a guide it could be a discord channel. Of course you can ask anything you want in a youtube comment! :) In my experience, converting a character from one system to another is often on a case-by-case basis so it would be hard to do a "guide". I was imagining in the future there would be a Broken Empires server and a "convert your character" channel where people could ask other players "my character is so and so and does this and that" and everyone would pitch in ideas.

That’s interesting you thought solo players would be put off by the complexity. When I’m playing on my own and not shooting it for KZbin I sometimes look up a rule and then get sidetracked for 20 minutes reading a whole other chapter that’s unrelated to what I’m doing at that point, but I still count it as part of playing solo because it’s fun 😊 And there aren’t any other players sitting there waiting while you flick through pages and say “Now let me… let me… see…”
