Sebetulnya efektif pake lori bisa ngangkut puluhan gerbong tinggal menambahkan fasilitas crane menaikan tebu ke gerbong, kalo pake truck tau sendiri jalan2 Indonesia sempit + macet

Window dressing unfortunately for a shop that is closed. The economics for transportation of the sugarcane by train versus trucks can’t be overstated. One fully loaded train would replace dozens of trucks keeping them off the streets and the air cleaner. Great video as usual Mr Ahmad. 🇦🇺

Thanks for watching! Thats right, when talking about load carrying capacity, sugarcane trains do have a much larger load. But this is about management efficiency, maintenance costs for locomotives, wagons, tracks, locomotive worker salaries, locomotive workshop workers salaries until track repair workers salaries, all of which are borne by the Mill. When using trucks, the farmers are the ones who bear the burden, the Mill only milling the sugarcane. The use of trucks is also supported by the less than optimal maintenance of sugarcane train tracks over the years. I am not supporting the use of trucks, but I am also not against change, everything has its causes and effects. This video has subtitle avaiable, did you know ? So crazy. It is the kind of thing they do all over for people in high places. They should use a bus and let them see the derelict railway and tell them why it is closed, instead of wasting lots of money on something that will never see a train again. It was nice to see the locomotive in new paint I hope that is looked after when it goes back home.

Many countries have sights that attract tourists that come to see the sights and bring money.... Perhaps a suggestion to the ministry that maintaining a certain large section of the sugar cane fields, train tracks with additional platforms and supporting equipment with a tour of the mill and a train ride touring the fields growing the sugar cane that would be in operation growing and refining the granular sugar could provide such an attraction for the country. Unbelievable how wonderful the transformation made this area look. A nice collection of the train locomotives would certainly be an attraction worth seeing. I am sure that there are influential people that could also provide support of such an idea. It would be wonderful to save this national heritage. Such a suggestion heard by the right person could make it possible. I am sure the government could provide some financial support for such an idea. It would also provide an area where young people could gain employment and learn about their heritage . If no one tries it will certainly disappear from the country. Sam USA

Thanks for watching! They came only for sugar production, they did not think about maintaining the railway, even for train (locomotives). Moreover, the Jatiroto sugar mill made it seem as if their railway line was still in service by bringing in locomotives from the Semboro sugar mill. Yes, I know and am sure there will be influential people to do it, but so far they have not. Lastly, a few years ago, the central management had a steam locomotive tourism program for sugar mills that could still do it. However, with the change of central management and at the sugar mills, such a program has been removed. It resulted in the destruction of steam locomotives because they were considered useless, and made worse by the lack of intention to maintain their condition. I still hope that the sugar mill management will have a program like that again, otherwise... the condition of the trains (steam locomotives) and railways will be increasingly destroyed and forgotten. I’m lost! Why would they do all this work on a line that was never maintained like this before, and most likely will never be used again? Why couldn’t the “ministry” just ride buses? Seems like misrepresentation to show these people well maintained track, ditched roadway, and sugarcane tied up in a way that’s never usually done!
