Just to go on the record we own the almost exact home. We don’t have the fireplace or back door off the living room. We didn’t want to limit how we used the living room. The house is awesome. I can’t say enough good things about Deer Valley. I have built several homes, and installed heating and cooling for 10 years. This is a house heck it’s better than any of the site built homes I have worked on. None of them was this over built with all the insulation and 2x6 extra walls plus the wood solid rap on the outside instead of just foam board. Heck they put crown in every room even the closets. The cabinets are great no sticking drawers the doors are real. Everywhere you look is a electrical outlet we even have 2 in our closet. The flooring is tough. My 13 year old son plays keep away with our 70+ lbs Germanshepherd and our floors still look brand new. We have other pet owners ask where they can get the flooring all the time. The pant is top notch. Deer Valley came to our house and repainted the entire house when the house was set. No touch up here and there they repainted every wall. I was blown away we also had a small army show up to help clean the house after all the set up work was done. The Deer Valley guys had cleaned so good we barely had to do anything. The detail in the house if you look under any of the sinks in our house. Every place that a plumbing pipe goes through a wall or floor there’s a trim collar. This is great you don’t see that in site built houses. Just go look under your sinks and see. We have had no settling problems. The windows are great like I said the house is very well insulated. First floor plan I've seen in a long time requireing minimal changes to make it mine. Namely get rid of the wire shelving for wood. Full depth shelving in the linen closet to hold blankets and pillows, In the pantry 18" depth shelves to hold toaster ovens, air fryers etc with 20" heights to hold blenders, food processors etc. I would have a water closet but open with a window above the toilet. In the master shower put the seat opposite the showerhead. Nice house. Is it built for northern winter as opposed to Alabama winters?

Love it. Change the bathroom of the master room area too. Like the living room kitchen area. Wow what a laundry room too..do u have a 4 bdroom one like this a little.?.. Just love it do u hook up as well when moving and buying ,like water pipe and electric hookup to it.?.

First off, I don't like walking in the front door right into the dining room. The closet "shelving" they use looks cheap. I don't like the master bedroom door right off the main living area. The closets are getting smaller, the master showers are getting smaller & no "rain shower head". They're making the islands with little or no sitting at it. I should just get one from a couple years ago. Bigger, nicer & many things more to my liking.

Valerie Greene` We own almost the exact house. It is open to the dining room, but there are columns that separate it. So it feels more like a entryway with large door ways. The shelves in the closet are the standard you see in a lot of homes. We have loaded ours down with out any trouble. When are fine with the placement of the master bedroom. It puts us on the far end from the kids rooms. The biggest guest bedrooms closet is a little small but the room is big. The other room has a nice size closet. The master closet is huge don’t let the video fool you. Same goes for the shower. It’s not one of the huge “waste of space “ showers. There’s enough room 2 people can fit, I have room to dry off and get out will my wife stays in with the water running finishing up. The rain shower is actually something I don’t care about. I do care that you can jump up and down in my house and there’s no sound hardly at all. We have a 75 lbs Germanshepherd that runs all over the house and our floors look brand new. The house is so well insulated that when we come home just us moving around cooking just living raise the temperature with out the heat kicking on. We also can’t hear anything outside. Sometimes the dog doesn’t even notice when someone comes to the door. That’s why I put it a ring door bell. The construction of the home is what I was interested in we can add anything else we want way cheaper than having it done by the builder. We changed the shutters first thing. Took no time to make and install wooden ones. Anyway you should get the home you want.

The people in this house must eat takeout as there isn't much to cook with. And, stop putting the microwave above my head! It's ridiculous. OSHA would fine you big for that safety violation.

Good point about the microwave. I like that they're not sitting on the counter but what a pain to have to replace one. They should make a cubby whole to put one in at eye level. Easy to replace if necessary.

Dawn we own one of these homes. The microwave is Eye level unless you are very short. I don’t know what you mean about the cooking there’s a stove and oven plus electrical outlet in the island that you can use any extra cooking accessories. We have entertained 30 people before without any trouble.
